Grew up not that far away from the Grove. Lot's of good times at this place. Remember seeing Chuck Samuels & his El Camino, Scavo & the Impala, Marty Belicki & his Chevelle (beautiful car). Many other OG Chicago Mafia 🇺🇸🏁

Couldn't click quick enough. Like I said before I can sit down with a couple cups of coffee and watch your videos all day. Like the song Cher sings " If I could Turn Back Time " I would go back to Old School Drag Racing Days. 👍

@@JaredR1996 Hate to give away my age. But I'll tell you back in the late 60s and 70s I used to bleach the tires of the Boston Strangler when it was a dragster, then became a Funny Car. Up at New England Drag way, Epping, New Hampshire 😎

It's better for the viewers if the times are held on screen a couple more seconds after each race.

Great video productions. Clear & coherent videography. Superior sound. My only suggestion would be to give a little more attention to the winner, his time and top speed. Right now they move across the screen too quickly - hard to pick up the details. Thanks, TED

I wish KZfaq would have a update like when you watch a video and you have to go some where and you get back home and get back on the video it saves where you stopped your video I want that to be the next new KZfaq update :D.

Being a 2nd generation drag racer myself in stock eliminator I remember the grove fondly when I was younger. My father had a 62 corvette and 55chevy campinged out of the hot rod shop. Ran modified eliminator against the likes of Tony Christian and pat musk and many others. You do very nice work

For a layman, how can you tell if the track it 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile? What to look for?
@outdoorfuninthesun23933 жыл бұрын
In this video you can see two orange square blocks (aka cones) halfway down the track. The second block (cone) is the 1/8 mile (660ft) marker, the one before it is to calculate the speed between the two. Also the time it takes Pro Mod about 5.50 seconds in 1/4 mile (1320ft) versus about 3.50 seconds for the 1/8. Also 1/4 tracks are obviously twice as long. 1/4 tracks can be set up to run 1/8 mile events. But 1/8 tracks can't run 1/4 mile because they aren't long enough. Not sure if I did a good job explaining it but if you go to a track ask someone. I've never met a person at a drag race not willing to teach a new person about the sport.
