Also @ 5:13 that Turtledeck T Altered is a real show stopper. Drag strip during racing season and the car show circuit in wintertime. Impressive amount of chrome on that T.

@ 4:15 that 41 Willy's is so bad ass looking! Hunkered down low in front with the injector ram tubes coming thru the good. I love blower cars but that Willy's looks like a contemporary race car. Would fit right in at a nostalgia meet or NHRA Divisional event.

That '33 Willys looked pretty good with no front bodywork and a Model A radiator shell. The '41 @ 4:15 was down low ahead of it's time and looking gooood!

Me too!! It's always fun to see the images other have taken of the old gasser days. I was there but was just a kid so I didn't document. If I had only known then what I know now :o0

Everyone blessed enough to have gone to the track between 65 & 85 saw Drag Racing when it was still a sport anyone could get into . I remember when there were over 400 Funny Cars up and running , fire up lane , and most importantly 1320 was the standard . I would rather have seen restrictions put on the cars and kept it....1320

Man I love your videos! I started street racing in the 80's and love the gassers and alterds. Really love those anglia's. Do you have any footage from Fontana Drag city? I grew up very close to it

Previously Masmanian's Austin. I hung out with K.S. when he worked on his cars at Foster's Tire Service when he was on the east coast. And at Indy in 68 ans 69.

What year US Nationals was this filmed at? Altereds are cool, blown Gassers rule! Great to see this rare footage of some long retired cars racing at the NHRA US Nationals in 196?. Regards from an Australian "Comp Eliminator" fan
