The intro theme, is possibly my favorite video game theme ever. Man, what a track! Truly captures the feeling of adventure, excitement, anticipation of war. Beautifully arranged and perfectly done by the musicians.

Most badass moment at least for me is when the Inquisitor banishes Coryphi-tits - "You wanted into the Fade?" *Opens a rift around him*. It's even more satisfying, than outright killing him. After all he's done to Thedas and to you, you finally grant him his wish. He probably won't survive without the orb, or the Anchor, but that's not the point, is it? It goes hand to hand with the return to Adamant though. The scene, where you emerge from the rift, close it and all demons just die with a gesture of your hand.

Definitely... the first time I watched this cut-scene I got shivers all over my body. This song (especially the last 45 seconds or so) I will always remember. Music is amazing when it imprints on us like that.

Does it hold up? I haven't played any of the Dragon Age games and I'm not sure where to start, but usually the newer games have a level of polish and lessons learned that the originals don't. Is it a standalone game or will I be heckin confused?

@@SockPuppetDinosaurjust replayed it a few days ago. Dragon age 1 and Dragon age 3 are quite different gameplay wise and how open world works. All the dragon age games have very nice story and deep lore, so it it worth to play them all for this reason. But gameplay wise, the first game is more classic CRPG (like divinity original sin, baldur's gate) and dragon age 3 feels like MMORPG (like World of warcraft or elder scrolls online) in its structure. You can start with any game since the main character is always different in all games, but the whole main plotline in the world goes since the first game so for the story i recommend to start with the first game and most people like it more than 2 and 3.

@@SockPuppetDinosaur Oh you need to start from DA1 son. Because all the games are connected. DA series is literally the epitome of "your actions have consequences". Every choice you make in a previous game, comes to play in the title that comes after. So sync your dragon age keep. Start from DA1. All I can say.

Oh I totally agree with Mr. Goldfish--do whatever it takes to finish the game, Vlad! Even my 9th time playing it through I've found new surprises. Whatever role you choose affects how other people interact with you. Like I played through as a qunari thief lady (talk about a crazy combo), and oh, it was hilarious how much crap I got from everybody! Finding all of the different mounts to ride was bizarre, too! This game is so broad and so deep, it's well worth the price as well as the time to re-play!

Here's some food for the thoughts. The way Corypheus said it, might imply that he's talking about the Maker, but why is he using plural then? "Throne of the God-S"? He's all about going for the Old Gods, killing them and becoming god himself, but they are in the Deep Roads, that's where the Darkspawn is looking for them, so no wonder the throne is empty. I mean the throne may be meant for the Maker, but it's still called "Throne of the Gods", which is plural, implying for more than one of these "Gods". And since they are "Old Gods", obviously they were before the Maker came, so the throne might have been theirs originally.

My entry to Dragon Age back in 2018 when I grabbed the retail for cheap. Had lots of fun and grabbed Skyrim retail after. However I bought two games now fully on steam afterwards like months after retaill. I also grabbed the other DA games and Mass Effect as well after. I love playing a Qunari warrrior guy with a kind soul just like me.

So many made dubstep and trap versions of these, Where you can hear some of the sound effects from the games from the Magic and the inquisito or Lavellian quotes, and Also the war room song mixed in the Sky hold. I don't like Inquisition as much as I like the others, story and main character-wise (some companions as well) but the soundtrack of it is pretty bloody good!

I loved this game from the first moment I've started playing. I still hold Origins high, but Inquisition is another level in my opinion (haven't played DA2, can't say anything about it). I absolutely love the way Cullen evolved from one of the most unlikable characters in Origins (I honestly couldn't stand him there) to one, that is so adorable in Inquisition. And oh that hair! XD His character developed nicely. His story arch is quite interesting if played right (when romanced). And of course my main, Inquisitor Trevelyan, she's such a sweetheart (at times ... you probably know what I mean, her quips, when the right option is chosen, priceless with that British accent, love that).

I had some great times playing it, but there was a lot of development decisions that I think was a hidrance to the gameplay and story in general that really kept me from really loving the base game. I did love Tresspasser though, that was such a good DLC!

Quality OST, but it severely lacks the vibe/motifs of DAO/DA2. Doesn't feel like Dragon Age one bit. Just a generic epic fantasy - only vibe I feel, while listening to it. Inon Zur has to come back.

This game is pretty good (barely qualifies as a bioware game), and it is the last bioware game.

Meaning it barely lives up to the standards right? Bioware has rpg's that will stick to me for a lifetime and still have replay value.

@@dumont7478 with that last set of news the best you can hope for is pronouns and microtransactions in the single and multiplayer and at worst it won't be finished at all.

Incredible music for a fairly so-so game. Awful villain. Boring combat. MMO gameplay in a single player game. 6/10 at best. But again the music is stunning.

@@nam9085 Yes its automatically bad and yes I have played Dragon Age Origins and 2. 2 was a cookie cutter monstrosity that hurts the eyes and just all around stinks of rush job. Origins was great though. And unlike Inquisiton it wasnt filled with constant "kill x to obtain 10 x to gain secondary xp". Doesnt mean it didnt have busywork. All RPGs do, but not braindead MMO trash that you are meant to carry out with a party of friends. I mean people criticize Fallout 4 for the exact same thing. Populating your game with repetative "go here and kill x" objectives is shit tier game design. I cant stand Bioware anymore but I started loving their games in 1998 with Baldurs Gate. I put a lot of hours and money into their games for nearly 20 years and that makes me uniquely qualified to recognize when their work is garbage - Andromeda and Inquisition both were and considering they went on to make Anthem and what happened to that I consider the criticism ironclad.

@@jmlaw8888 honey your issue is clearly with mmo gameplay in general. You dont like mmo gameplay. Your preference for non mmo gameplay doesnt mean that the game is bad. It means the game is not for you

@@nam9085 MMO gameplay belongs in MMOs. The keyword is multiplayer. With friends content like that is more bearable. In a single player game it just isnt stimulating enough. In DAIs defence they wrote a hell of a lot of banter for while you are out completing their 1 dimensional side content so there is that. Sadly the triggers for said banter are awful so it messess with how often you hear it. Regards I believe Dragon Age should follow Origins example which itself was supposed to be a successor to Baldurs Gate. Not huge barren maps with MMO sidequests but lots of smaller more intricate maps surrounding a city to explore. Bioware disagreed and so I no longer like their games but criticize them instead, as is my right as a once loyal customer.

@@jmlaw8888 no honey, theres nothing inherently wrong with mmo gameplay being put in a non mmo game unless YOU dont like mmo gameplay in general which isnt the fault of the game. Its about whether its done well or not. You think it doesnt and thats your opinion.

I reload the save just to listen to this song again in Max Volume. The song is perfect on that scene and on that circumstances. Due to this song, my Herald is a Faithful Herald
