I was actually hesitant on making her Divine when I was romancing her but this makes it better. I like the idea how they can still love each other despite their respective duties. Also the romance between the Seeker-turned-Divine and the Inquisitor is the stuff that makes legendary tales for bards. As Cassandra said, I am also an optimist.

Varric would say it makes a better story than installing a spymaster or a conservative, power-hungry mage. The idealistic warrior whose first action of note was to save a Divine's life from a dragon attack, then avenging the next Divine by restoring the controversial Inquisition, only to become Divine herself after falling in love with the Inquisitor, rumored to be the Herald of Andraste.

@@perrycarters3113 Not me, Leliana actually does some good for the mages and everyone. She even allows for people to have relationships while in the chantry(and allows my Mage Warden to continue to be with her so that’s nice for him)

The spymaster was more closer to Justinia than Cass, they have story together since Leliana's song, and even after the Blight, so it is fitting Leliana becomes her successor, Vivianne is a mage and will be a milestone in the story of the Andrastian Chantry to have one as Divine, one that is not only powerful in the magic arts but also in intelligence, and how she had to climb until reaching the sunburst throne. So, nah, I am very sure Varric will find any Divine as really good story.

I'm just seeing this video right now, And I stumbled upon this comment from a year ago to say, I agree with you completely Mattias. I've done multiple playthroughs, some siding with him completely, others siding against him, and I've got to say, He's the Dragon age equivalent of the Thalmor. Just with a more justified tone. I don't like his ideals. They're a bit insane.

You know, *maybe* having Cassandra as Divine isn’t so bad after all. To give context, I romanced her and I love her character, I never really bothered with the whole divine thing and then it hit me at the end with Cassandra spending one last moment with my character before she went off to be the divine. The way the game laid it out, I though I’d NEVER be able to have her as a party member again, but this video shows that clearly isn’t the case. Currently I’m trying my best to reverse the outcome by supporting Viviene but maybe it isn’t so bad if I can still “take her out” from time to time. P.S. I know the comments are years old but if anyone is still around, I’d like to hear your thoughts on what would be better; Romanced Cassandra as Divine, or romanced Cassandra as normal?

Better to not make her Divine. She will never be able to marry the Inquisitor or start a family, the romance would need to be done in secret. She deserves better.

Romanced Cassandra Divine is the best outcome to her and Thedas simultaneously. She is the best of the faithful in my opinion, her duty is to the Maker and the people, not to Chantry politics or dogma. There have been many popes in the real world who acted similarly and were very good to the people.

imo softened Leliana should be Divine(Its usually the things that take the most elaborate work that are meant to be "best ending"). Cass should stay with her bae.

casandra ending is more stable in the long run ( golden age ) and they mention in leliana inding that what she is doing is tearing the chantry a part and their will be another war but people ignore the bad stuff for the mage are free YAY ending . until some mage kid do what conor did to redcliff and we will have circle back in no time .

My gathering of all the characters by the railing in the cutscene was significantly smaller that yours... I guess I learned my lesson that I need to do all their personal quests. Kind of disappointed when I had 4 less companions by the end (two of them always being in my party)..

She would like nothing more then to grab The Inquisitor and haul him off to her bed and make passionate love. Poor woman. Shes 'the divine' she makes the rules. If she wants the inquisitor then she just needs to change a rule & then he's all hers without repercussions. But if she wants to experience the forbidden fruit then she can just take him to her bed & potentially worry about a scandal later. But again she makes the rules the chantry lives by so.

Anyone know where they are in the scene at the end? Where the Inquisitor stabs the map? It looks like Haven but I thought that was destroyed.

+Kendall Miller I think it is Haven, the prison you first wake up in.(I guess Bioware was going for a full circle story narrative idea?) I always figured that destroyed meant "buried under a lot of snow and rock" so two and a half years would be plenty enough time for them to dig it up and restore whatever was damaged. Plus the prison looked pretty solid and was underground so it probably wouldn't have been damaged as much. The tunnel under Haven the inquisitor escapes in did fare alright. Or maybe I'm overthinking, maybe all Ferelden prisons are constructed in the same manner, maybe they're in a place that just looks similar, maybe Bioware is pulling a DA2 on us. We may never know... until Bioware continues...when they have the time... and when the wind calls them...(Poorly made wind sounds)

Roto Seraph Lol I agree with you, when you first get to Skyhold they do talk about excavation efforts at the War Table so you're probably right it's most likely a bit trashed but cleared off by then, a good place to hide out for sure. Needed to know for my story, thanks for the insight.

Guess those events are triggering a random party member to comment, so leaving only Cass in party is forcing the game to make her speak.
