I feel like we could eventually find out that Koslun and the Qunari are a lot like Andraste and the Chantry--what exists in the present might not be what Koslun intended. We don't have a lot of evidence that Koslun was the one that came up with the Qunari's current practices to mages, I don't think.

Awesome video. Btw… something I noticed the other day…… a throw away line from Cole’s Banter with Iron Bull….CONFIRMS Qunari dragon blood!! When Cole asks why he chose the name “iron bull”? He replies “you know.. horns.. bull… “ Then cole says “yes but they aren’t bull horns. They are dragon horns. Why didn’t you call yourself iron dragon?” Cole… doesn’t lie… and he knows the true nature of everyone around him. He didn’t say “they look like dragon horns”. He says “they ARE dragon horns” Cole doesn’t blurt out nuanced things… his dialogue can be vague and chaotic… and poetic….but it’s always truth. And he was in a coherent mode when he said that. We was not channeling iron bulls thoughts and feelings… he was just stating the blatant facts of iron bulls nature and self . So… I get that a writer… if they wanted to change this … and say “oh he meant something else and we aren’t doing the Qunari in that direction” They could But …. Until they do… That right there is “Qunari blood is dragon blood” confirmed!

Thank you for such a great video about Qunari! I am among those who always ask about Qunari culture vs Qunari race. I wish developers wrote this part of lore more clearly. 👍

I can see how after so many years, the Ashkaari's words can be misinterpreted by his people, like Andraste is misunderstood by her followers. I think what he wanted were people to understand that discovering oneself is the biggest task in life. I think the Qun and its priests have this idea that means THEY are the ones to decide for someone, but I don't think that's the case. I think he thought hard about how fleeting life is, and how we should strive for happiness in the truest sense, not just giving someone a job to do for the rest of their life.

"1 can find happiness in performing his duty" that line from Sten inspired me to push through my diploma work as a student. Ever since then I have always been in awe of the qun and its unique insight into life.
