Alistair has got to be one of my most favorite characters. It's to bad theres no progame in the game that recognize certain names you give your warden. First time I played threw, I played as a male human noble and named him Alaster. Then when I meet Alistair I was half expecting him to say something like "Hay that's my name, don't be stealing names. It's not nice."

@askwilson You DO have to tell her what she wants, but you don't have to side with the circle mages if you don't want to. If you want the templar for the final battle instead of the mages either let Irving die, or save him and then tell suggest that the malificar can not be allowed to escape, and he'll tell the templars to take the mages (including himself) into custody, either way Wynne will join the group after the circle mages questline, and you'll still get your templar.

every game needs a funny char like Alistair I always welcome gd funny banter or anything funny involving the comedian char

i think that the npc talking to each other is great part about the game

@AngelOfDarkness753 the first templars you fight, one of them will drop the Helmet. But to get the armor, the one templar who is in "love" with the demon near the Sloth drops that.

Also, if you want to see a bunch of these conversations at one time, find a 'trigger spot' somewhere, go inside of a house or store or something, then come back out and walk over the spot again. A few I can think of off the top of my head: The small bridge across from the chantry in Redcliffe; the large bridge by the arena in Orzimmar; right before the entrance/exit to the world map in the Dalish camp.

@AnthonySmith22 Sure, 3 mages is the way to go, 1 tank, 1 healer and two aoe dps. Tank runs in, grabs ag, aoe nuke the s**t out of everything, healer sits back and does almost nothing

To answer some questions, your companions' conversations with each other start when you A. Walk over certain 'trigger places' in the game and B. They have anything left to say to each other. From time to time, as the game progresses with character revalations, romances and the like, they'll find more things to say to each other.
