Remember when almost all characters were on the roster and all you had to do was play the game to unlock them. Now it's all DLC

When? If we talking about fighting games before they do practically the same thing, they realease one version per year, the 5 version of street fighter 2, the 3 versions of SFA, 3 versions of SF3, 2 of MK3, 1 KOF realese per year, MVC, Darkstalkers, Samurai Shodown, etc. This is not a new thing but now instead of sell you a new version of the game full price, they can sell the characters as Dlc or they can modify the gameplay with patches.

@@iSpEcKz-- That's a complete different type of game, is imposible to them can create that amount of characters for a new fighting game, I would like but is too much, the time to create a character for this games it's not the same, if you want an arena fighter you have Xenoverse.

The first Dragon Ball fighting game I played was Hyper Dimension on the SNES. It cost $80 and had like eight characters total.

I have a feeling that Jiren ultimate attack on SSB Goku is foreshadowing that UI Goku is coming. Also why is this season having just 6 characters? Season 1 had 8: Broly,Bardock,Vegito,Zamasu,Base Goku and Vegeta,Cooler and 17
