Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butouden is a 2D fighting game that plays similarly to the other games in the Butoden series game and is based on the manga and anime series Dragon Ball for the Nintendo DS. Its story mode goes from the beginning of the Saiyan Saga to the end of the Majin Buu arc. This game was a Japan exclusive.

@@henrystickminfan2 Neither extreme butoden OR fighterz are successors to this game in anyway... Extreme Butoden literally shares almost nothing with this game, imo Ultimate Butoden was better and should've been released on the 3ds. Extreme Butoden has less characters, less content, less customization options, and the game is way too easy whereas Ultimate butoden's difficulty was perfect. Ultimate Butoden was much better.

They made a game called Extreme Butoden for the 3ds, but that game is nothing like this game. That game actually came out in America, but there is way less content. Extreme Butoden was basically a beta for Dragon Ball Fighterz, because many characters in Fighterz have combos or animations copy and pasted exactly from extreme butoden.

He already has those powers, the ghost is from the first power selection and that doughnuts valley, this is from the 3rd power selection on gotenks so thats why die die missle barrage is a ultimate

Plotwist: This game was originally intended for the Nintendo 3DS, but due to internal problems it ended up coming to the Nintendo DS. This is why it came out so late in the life of the Nintendo DS (and only in Japan) and is one of the games with the best graphics on the system (and with a pretty terrible frame-rate too, especially on the original Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite.) In addition, he already had the Buu Saga even before Dragon Ball Kai ( anime ) confirmed this saga.

The game was never released outside of Japan so you can't get an English version of this. But, there is a fan translation for the game, google it you should be able to find it with ease.
