This game taking even longer to finish than Kakarot might be insane especially because of Kakarot’s open world gameplay but it just shows how hard they went in for Sparking Zero! 😭

For the story mode. I am mostly looking forward to the Goku Black Saga. I hope they got a cutscene dedicated to this scene. “Potara Earings!? Really? You mortals are always trying to imitate the divine. But why is that?”

I'm hyped for this game but I don't have huge expectations for the story mode because in the original Tenkaichi games, all you really did was just watch characters engage in dialogue, listen to narrations, fight, rinse and repeat. And while I still did enjoy my time with them Budokai Tenakaichi 1 and 3 really lacked the sort of variation that 2 had with the whole "level up" feature in game, it even had an overworld feature where you could fly to your destination etc. I don't want the devs to bite off more then they can chew in that regard and go overboard because 2's story pacing was kinda cheeks. Sparking Zero looks like the most immersive 3D action game yet in terms of how it looks and its gameplay, so I'm really hoping the developers add a bit of variety into the story mode to keep it fresh. At best we can expect the game to cover the Saiyan saga to the TOP saga, but I'm seriously interested in seeing how the What-if scenarios make their return. Towa and Mira might even be a huge part of that. 👀👀👀

The video was already scouting misadformation at the 26 second mark, so I had to close it. Nothing has confirmed an expansive giant story mode for this game yet. That is the implication based on what Schemmel has said in regards to how much voice work he has done. But that is not confirmed, so please do not listen to this video and then run off thinking we're about to get some amazing story mode.

My guess is it gonna have tons of different lines when facing different opponents, different variations of shouts and screams, different lines said when using moves or attacks, probably all that already counts for a whole lot of hours instead of just story. Not to mention possibly easter eggs if you do something that happened in anime/manga. Or 30 hours of unused stuff.

In terms of the lines I'm 100% sure that he just redid those lines similarly to how they were in the old games. There's like a subtle difference when you go and listen to them side by side and I'm all for Sean tickling my nostalgia bone I pray to GOD the fusions have that one weird line when they go "WOOOAAAHHSS!" XD

Also speaking on dlc since the game is gonna have what ifs I feel like characters like ssj4 vegito might be a legitimate thing so I can see that. Also for those that feel like it’s not possible , remember ssj3 broly and vegeta were in raging blast so they can definitely do heroes as dlc frfr

FINALLY! A story mode that doesn't end in the Buu Saga/End of Z saga! I've been waiting for any game to re-tell Super since Kakarot was announced.

You know in the old tenkaichi the world tournament had an entire different mechanic compared to, for an example Cells tournament, i wonder if you pick the T.O.P will you be able to turn on and off the rules of the T.O.P? like, making your character unable to fly and also if you fall out of the arena you automatically lose? I wonder how that would work if they are going to add this mechanic. Its a big IF btw. maybe it will be more annoying than anything now that i think about it. but if they make so you can deactivate and activate this mechanic then i guess its fine.

I honestly feel like the long story mode may be the reason local pvp isn’t gonna be available in Sparking Zero (if that’s true) if that is the case; I honestly wouldn’t mind because I used to love the story mode of the Tenkaichi series and is why BT2 is my favorite entry because of the long story mode with the slightly open world sections. I can’t wait to finally play the Goku Black arc in a DB game and also the U6 Vs U7 arc and the ToP. Even tho it’s highly unlikely, it would be awesome to play the Moro arc as well, I know it’s unlikely but I wouldn’t rule it out 100% because we technically did get a manga exclusive arc in Kakarot with Future Trunks Vs Babiddi and Dabura, yeah it was shown in the anime but the game specifically went with how the manga depicted it with Trunks training with the Z-sword, Dabura killing Kibito, and Trunks unlocking SSJ2 which none of those were shown in the anime flashback so there’s a slim chance that manga exclusive fights/arcs could be in the game

I want the full dragon ball z story then all super then gt and some of dragon ball as a post game with a what if 300 plus missions

Goku’s VA having 60-80 hours is crazy but vegetas VA Christ must have more since he voices so many more characters compared to Sean. Sean voices goku and king Kai while Christ voices Vegeta, piccolo, Yamcha and more

Completely wild idea. What if the story mode is essentially a scaled down version of DBZ Kakarot's "between battles" content? The story mode in DBZ games are generally little games in themselves with world maps and side content. So instead of having a world map it would function like the open world in the Kakarot DLC arcs for each section of the story mode. I haven't played Kakarot myself but seeing bits of it I assume the open world sections have reduced side content. Especially with Bardock and Trunks' stories.

Well atleast this means we can get a pretty good picture of who’s gonna be in the game.

I don’t see the hype in playing a story mode when we already know what will happen. Playing these story modes after Budokai 1 - BT3 just becomes a chore… it’s literally not fun for me. Story has to be something unique that I’ve never seen before.

to my knowledge world mission is the only dragon ball game to have top base roster because before world mission is fighters which got it afterwards. Very hyped finally having TOP and Broly Escaping DLC jail
