Budokai games? Hmm, I'd say FighterZ was Budokai nostalgia, somewhat anyway since it used the 3V3 fighter style instead of 1V1. But both are side scroll fighter series.. Now if you meant Budokai Tenkaichi, or otherwise known as the Tenkaichi series, then yes Sparking Zero is nostalgia to those. It's basically Tenkaichi 4.

4:39 It looks like what if is not maybe not extra side stories you unlocks, but what you choose during the game play. So during the Cell arc with SSJ Grade 2 Vegeta vs Cell maybe you as Trunks have the choice to jump in on Cell or let Vegeta fight Alone where you take probably the control over Vegeta than.

Seeing Goku turn into a Super Saiyan agaisnt Vegeta on Earth after witness him dying agaisnt Vegeta is totally a reason to be hyped for this mode. Looks like, they might also had that what if scenario with Raditz having amnesia and helps Goku finding Gohan but it can be another totally diferent what if. What a trailer!!! i think it was evident i was gonna come out in October due to past releases being in the same month but i am hyped. More hyped with the what if scenarios but also, for all the new mechanics they added and the ones we are familiar with since we played this in our chilhoods.

That Super Saiyan saga what if is interesting since Krillin is the one who comes up with the idea to go Namek. Unless there's a line where he says something, then they're all lost forever which is pretty saddening.
