I don't see why they wouldn't add two of the most important characters of the future saga when they have future trunks on the roster. Zamasu and black even made it into Xenoverse as old as that game is so I don't see why they wouldn't add him to the newest game. These are two of my most favorite characters. So base Zamasu and black, Black rose (even though he's white) fused zamasu and maybe corrupted forms, maybe those forms could be a form of battle damage.?

I honestly want the z story in a game like Sparking Zero aka Tenkaichi 4 because Kakarot while it was good exploration wise with the world of Z it did an extremely poor job on representing those iconic battles from the anime in the base game You had iconic scenes missing lackluster battle mechanics all the bosses had the same one melee combo etc and as far as the older games they didn’t have the technology that they have now to fully tell the story properly but I do want the Super Story connected to it as well

They'll likely include Z & super which i don't mind

Unfortunately Goku would have to a beat someone in that show and that doesn't happen until Super season 2

I’m pretty sure there isn’t enough material in the super anime to make a story based just on that they will definitely run through the whole z story and fall in to super

Tbf of the last 5 dragon ball games 4 of them have original stories xenoverse 1 and 2 fighterz and breakers and hereos

That's gonna be awhile since we know some of the characters might be skins which share the same slot as earlier shown characters, I agree but I hope that isn't the case.

I have a theory that the 164 is just a hold over type thing because they have so many characters to reveal and once a certain amount of slots are filled/characters are revealed, the honeycomb slot may possibly expand to reveal additional characters maybe after the release date is revealed. I highly doubt that a sequel game that’s been in development for the past 6 years and is 17 years after the previous game is only gonna add 3 additional character slots from BT3’s 161 roster and it would be kinda backwards for them to make characters that were in the previous Tenkaichi games such as SSJ4 Goku, Kid Goku, etc dlc when they keep strongly reiterating that this is a sequel to BT3

It's called "Edge of Spirit" it was in Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

It worked in Kakarot because Kakarot was designed with the slice-of-life aspect in mind, while also providing stunning and expressive cutscene animation. We shouldn't expect that for Tenkaichi, since that isn't the focus for a Tenkaichi game... which is the combat.

@@Gfromda23 thats what I'm saying. Truly think about the story of Super. It's a bunch of random fights with a bit of comedic slice-of-life in between. Contrast that with every other saga from Z... that had clear story progression between the fights.
