For anyone wondering why the mother is eating the poop, it's because baby birds have a very poor digestive system, this means that they barely get any nutrients from what they eat, which has two effects: 1-They need to eat a lot to survive because they barely get any nutrition from their food, so their parents have to be in constant search of food for them and don't have time to search food for themselves. 2-Their feces are very rich in nutrients, so their parents eat them because is the most efficient way for them to eat without taking too much time from the search of food for the chicks. I hope I explained it well! Edit: corrected some grammar mistakes.

LOL when the parent brought that red bug or seed after eating the poop of one of the babies the parent takes the food item back away from the baby the parent gave it to pretty funny . OMG that bug was so huge and I was so amazed when that baby was able to finally get it all down as the bug seemed larger then the baby itself .

I have a brilliant idea. If the poop is so nutritious, why doesn’t the mom take the poop out from chick 1 and feed it to chick 2 for second round of processing.

Keeps predators away ans nest clean if monmy just threw poop over side predators would smell poop and know lunch is near. Also if poop in nest bugs would swarm and infest nest so eat the poop also birds do t digest well when young so get nutrition from it.
