This was done entirely to prevent people from making attractive female characters. 😒 They most likely had to beg for investors and they had to show clips from the previous game they made and woke investors didn't like what they saw. Yep the less armor slots you add the more people are likely to wear the same thing. The reason alot of people wore the same stuff was because 1 mages and sorcerer pawns were op and 2 the stats on the gear.

Yeah like the trickster being a hybrid vocation with the Colours pink & purple. A hybrid of what exactly? What is the pink & purple colour? It just doesn’t make sense, especially how we know other hybrid vocations like the mystic spear hand is a combination of fighter & sorcerer. All in all after 12 years we only got 2 new vocations, one of which is very passive & does no actual damage. It’s a shame ngl but I hope other aspects of the game make up for this. I don’t want to pay extra money for vocations in a dlc. I’m still excited though, but my hype has certainly gone down a bit unfortunately

Removing the silk lingerie was the nail in the coffin for them. @@rhodan74 100% this. If armor stats mattered that much, people would never be able to gold dragon forge the tattered fishermen's garb. The stats on the armor didnt matter like, at all. Players set and stacked stats by weapon equips, rings, and meticulously min-max leveling a vocation roadmap. The reason everyone wore the same armor over lvl. 60 was because the BBI armor sets looked sick af, and because (just like dark souls) there were only like 4 sets of clothes that looked fem for female avatars/pawns. (Literally, every girl pawn is either wearing the maiden set, the flame skirt, the queen's garb, or Madeline's merchant dress.)

It is true....hard mode lingerie everyone does it but you.

The reasoning was they wanted to remove the ability for players to create attractive females half dressed. The company apparently had to beg for investment and had to show their old product. The woke investors don't like freedom or choice they want you to do what they want. So against fans and their better judgment they made a censored debacle that will be worse than the first game due to them removing everything that anyone liked about this game. They ruined the only things that made this game a hit (certain op vocations and lingerie) without this it's just another bargain bin game that you get when it's 10$ or free.

Keep in mind that the trailer changes scenes pretty often, and, for obvious reasons, the script doesn't show the real framerate of that new clip during the first second of each clip after a transition (duh). It is just the type of transitions they use, or the fact that two different clips have two different framerates, but after that first second, you see the real framerate for the rest of the clip. I was thinking about doing something with this, because it's not like it is something no one would be interested in, but I'm know as a theorycrafter/math guy, not a tech guy, and I'm part of the Spanish community. That said, it looks like it's hard for gaming channels to realise that Dragon's Dogma 2 is going to be a CPU heavy game (they ask you for a Ryzen 3600 for 30 fps, I mean, bro...), and for that reason, just like with Baldur's Gate 3 during Act 3, lowering the resolution will not make the game run at 60 fps. It would still be running in the 30s on a PS5, even at 720p, because of the CPU, so what developers do is using higher resolutions. At least that's what I'm guessing, based on the fach that they show you the requirements for 4K 30 fps on PC, but they never mention 1440p 60 fps (we all know we PC gamers want at least 60 fps in our games), and they ask you for a CPU that is similar (actually a tiny bit better) than the one on the PS5. Yeah your design sounds genius and the explanation for WHY it's going to be CPU intensive makes a lot of sense denoting the evidence and referencing BG3 as an example on why reducing resolution wouldn't increase fps IF your pc just can't think any faster. If you had some videos pointing to this software that's able to see how it can calculate the refresh rate of the game or trailers rather and use Jedi survivor too, also a good example because I got burned hard on that game where my cpu was getting hit but my gpu had like 70% free to be allocated for its processes.

They aren't reducing the number of classes though, Dragon's Dogma had 9 and this has 10, and in both cases 6 are available for pawns. The bit about clothing seems a bit stupid though, if they wanted to give players freedom to look however they wanted they could have just added transmog, it's not that hard.

Game devs hates that stuff for some reason, it always gets replaced by fast paced zippy adhd classes. Imagine: Maces or even flails with new moveset. Great cannon, Sky rapture, and ruinious sigil as core skills. 15+ new skills unique to mystic knight. then maybe the self enchantments give a special elemental explosion effect to make it unique. i feel like people would've been absolutely ecstatic for that, but no mage and sorcerer stay yet mystic knight wasn't unique enough despite being the most perfect depiction of a "battle mage" i've ever seen? it only had like 5 or 6 truly unique moves and it was incredible, all they had to do was add to it lol.

Mystic Knight was poorly designed and implemented wdym? It's literally just Fighter with magic stuff. It didn't change anything with the class other than it being a parry-heavy fighter.

In theory, the unique aspect is to combine skills on the fly but given the limitations in skills available that is a big TBD. Still, I'd argue its 9 vocations + warfarer which is the abiilty to change vocations. Very similar to first game. But we lose completely from the first game in lack of gameplay variety with 1 Weapon per vocation instead of between 1 and 4 with the associated skills.

Every fan dislikes it. Go woke go broke they made their choices now they have to live with them. They made a deal with the devil to accept funding for this game under the condition they change everything that made this game popular. We can bs all day long but people played this mostly for the half naked layering options (even females did this watch any female that posted this game they all wore the lingerie as well) and those who weren't wearing lingerie had equally revealing outfits. No one wanted censorship but their investors and instead of explaining that this will kill the game they caved and accepted the bribe money hoping they could lie to fans, get a few preorders, and maybe get a few new fans who aren't aware of their betrayal towards fans. Instead they just killed their studio, brought Capcom more ill will than they already had, and made it to where people will actively avoid anything produced by this development team.

Yeah exactly I totally believe & trust whatever these awesome developers have done to make this game awesome, I think people are just tripping because if anyone knows what it was like playing the first game it was around 30fps I believe BUT in combat it would slow down on purpose when we used certain moves or when big monsters did certain things but it made the game and combat feel more awesome and intense, it was made like that on purpose, so with that in mind I feel this is going to be very similar to the first game but with way better graphical detail and animations in a much bigger and more alive open world with way more monsters and effects on screen. It’s going to be AMAZING AF. 🙌❤️‍🔥🙌

Because not only is Redfall 30 FPS but it’s also a trash game that made everyone lose their faith in a studio. They recently patched 60 FPS but they can’t patch in a good game 😂

@Velocifero It won't matter unless you play in 4k, because the framerate is uncapped. Anyone playing on a 4k monitor would likely have to go into their display settings to lower the resolution if they want to play in 60fps.

Why? We had less in the first game (and several of those had insane overlap with one another). We have 10 very distinct and unique vocations for this game, which is more than a lot of similar games.

No, the reason people were expecting more because it's incredibly dumb to have only 10 vocations. So they brought back colour system, split strider into two, but then decided "nah, fuck that"? That sounds incredibly dumb. We're getting less options all around

They specifically stated their only aim was to get it to (meaning they haven't yet) just uncapped 30 fps. For frame of reference go download bloodborne on your console if you own it and boot it up....that's what your game will look like but even worse because it's not locked at 30 it will dip down to 15-20 frequently. In case you don't know this is unplayable for most people in 2024. Most say they can deal with it until they start playing it and it really bothers them then.

the bling was a highlight in the first game, I'm not about to downgrade for $70. it's part of the roleplaying experience. top half and bottom half customization is what I'd expect from a fuckin mobile game.

Ignoring all of the gameplay improvements, the fleshed out world, exploration, stellar looking combat, way better pawns and way more in depth vocations to focus on a slight downgrade in granularity with armor and making your purchase decisions off of that. You literally cannot get more Modern Gamer than that. Ignoring the fact that most other RPGs also have 4 equipment slots (or less, many of them have armor as one single piece) because it's significantly easy to balance that way, we've literally seen pictures and footage of armor tops with multiple undershirt and glove variations. As in Armor A with Undershirt A And Gloves A, or Armor A with Undershirt B and Gloves D, etc etc. So the variety is still there, just done differently.
