There is a fast travel system, you just have to set it up yourself with port crystals, in that aspect the game is really good cause it forces you to first explore then you can fast travel back to where you left your crystal.

This was unfortunately removed from the PC version for licensing reasons.

You can use magic with swords as well. That magic cannon thing and the sigil works really well together, especially since you deal both physical and magic damage.

For anyone asking, the armors were removed due to licensing. The creator of berserk, and the creators of Dragons Dogma were perfectly fine with it being in, the problem stemmed from Capcom and the license holder having a conniption with so many similarities and to protect their IP they had it taken out of the game. How copyright law works is if you do not defend your IP from 'Obvious' or 'Overt' Injunctions from other IPs/Products then you cannot claim in the future when someone makes a game based on the IP then you have no legal standing to shut it down and once the IP is out of your hands its public domain to use. Companies are afraid of losing their 'product' and 'property' so they have to be anal about it. Its a law thing mostly, so it sucks that it had to happen.

I know this is old, but just in case for other's sake. In the encantment area where you fight thesnake monster, near the riftstone there is a old dude who will sell you character creation items like skin and hair colors for rift crystals. Anyways, he also sells an item that lets you edit your character and your main pawn whenever you want. I go it and changed my gender and pawn's. It never runs out it just becomes a new option in the start menu.

You missed a magic sword that was in the chest above the last ogre. In the circle part you see a faded line. There is a step like area to jump up and there is a chest, and inside it is the sword. Btw sold in Gran Saren in like a hidden store off in the back there is a like black market and forgery were sold skeleton key, and Ferry Stone which is like a fast travel. You use the stone to travel to other portal stones, or back to Gran Saren.

First time I fought an Ogre was in the everfall. It tried to do that jump kick attack and jumped right off the ledge. I leveled up twice and my pawn leveled up once.

Ogres turn out to have a major weakness, its face. Attack the face and you'll notice the sucker getting dazed out going left or right, and keep it going till it suddenly gets knocked down. IF you have a female(I do, Female strider) it will go berserk, but dont give in and just go even harder on its face.That said, there ain't much of strategy to it aside dodging its WWE attacks, so yea lol.

this game is great but it could have been even better if you could take off the limbs of the big monsters, like an ogre running around with no arms, that would be great

The black cat in grand soren also sells ferrystones but for 20k. I should note that there only a finite amount of farrystones but later in the game you get a stone with unlimited use.

I like the story it really picks up after and the ending is worth the beginning slowness.

I also like how the white hawk set and sword is 0 fucking subtlety. It's a 1 to 1 replica of Griffith's set and even is named the fucking "White Hawk" set. They didn't even try XD

friggin LOVE this game. killed skyrim for me. challenging, combat is GREAT. and u cannot make op armor and weaps with alchemy+blacksmithing. no fast travel in an actually enemy filled land. big ass monsters are amazing fights. magic is what it is supposed to be... did I say combat? story in skyrim is also shit. tie there

From what I've seen some of them are random and some of them aren't. Most of the chests respawn after a couple of days as well. I'm still trying to figure out which chests have set items and which ones don't.

If they could update DD one last time before DD2 comes out I’d want them to add these armors back into the game.

I *think* it's the Guardian's Hood. You can find it in a chest in an underground area between Smuggler's Pass and the Bluemoon Tower. While walking to the Bluemoon Tower, keep your eye to the left side of the canyon. There are several places you can enter, but it should be the very last one before you reach the Bluemoon Tower tl;dr: Last cave on the left before the Bluemoon Tower.

I still need a good strategy against the necromancer in dark arisen because I've used every sort of party and spell you can and brought all the curative you can think of but he always 1 to 2 hits me with back to back 1 hit kill spells after he drops 3 or 3 bars

These armors are the main reason I'll buy the game..I love Berserk and the chance to play as Gutts is something I can't miss..anyway,great vid man..I was wondering if they included these sets in the western release of the game..

I enjoyed very much the little decisions that they did have though lol. As you said, it'd probably be much better with more choices and hopefully different types of quests.

Also the great sword "Thousand Limbs" is modeled off of Guts greatsword.

I have a pawn named Guts who looks like him as well and is a Warrior. I'm sure his creator would like it if he was outfitted with the SM set ;)

You can fast travel with ferrystones. You can buy them for 10,000 and you get them as rewards for quests. I dont remember his name but hes tide to the quest where he wants you to kick a family out of there home. He is short bit mustash and has no hair. He also sells pilgrims charms which gives you double xp for a while

I found that once I hit level 22-23 chimeras were much easier to kill

a good strat for ogres is climibin on their backs n jumping off just before they try to squash u, that gives u a 3-4 second window for unleashing as much damage as u can on it... rinse n repeat

Do you have to go back inside immediatley after to get these, I completed this quest some time ago and went back to him and the armor isn't there

My main complaint with Dragon's Dogma is you can't save armor sets. REALLY annoying to have to equip everything EVERY TIME you change vocations.

I take back this statement now... I was confused in regards to the forgery. I took a portcrystal to the black cat in the second playthrough and the next time i went to it, i noticed he was selling them... i took that to mean that it was forged and they were working for me. I went out and found a strategy guide and read through it and found out that he starts to sell them in the second playthrough. so via a strategy guide, there are portcrystals for sale allowing for multiple fast travel points

ok full honesty i went in at level 15 and i kinda crushed the ogres and i had a physical lady in the party and i was physical so i was kinda happy finding this so i could get the berzerk armours though

Hey im a lvl 28 and i was wondering should i buy this armor? Or is some better armor going to be made available to me pretty soon?

where do you think i can find a good shield for my fighter pawn? i have a light-weight pelta. a drop from a chimera. plus a 3 star Eden's Warden. my pawn's using the gryphic armor set, and she's lvl 36 now. The Eden's Warden is losing its damage output. What is a good weapon that I can get? And a new shield? This pelta is weak to everything. it's "lightweight"

the area with the third ogre has tons of explosive barrels, you can kill him fast just throwing them at him

Capcom worked with Berserk Team Golden. They were making 25th year of anniversary that year and then Capcom asked if they didn't want to put some of their stuff into Dragon's Dogma. That's why.

When you buy the DLC, you get a free captain's armor. it is in your item storage. If you want more than one, then yeah, you got to buy another in the shop.

Find the Black Cat you can buy the Wyrm Hunting license there for $1,500 I think, I did the same thing on my first play through.

For anyone here in 2024 about 4-5 months till dragon dogma two comes out I believe they took out the guts and Griffith armor in the new gen for the Xbox and PlayStation you can only get them in the old gen like Xbox 360 or PS3

Mmm you can change your main pawns gender and your own gender by visiting the Rift Shop at the outpost where you first get your main pawn. It costs rift crystals though so you'll probably only be able to do it once your around level 25+ and that's assuming your main pawn gets picked every now and then giving you rift crystals

Do you know if the chests at Bluemoon tower respawn? I've been trying to get the Vouge daggers by resting for days at the travelers rest but the chests are always empty when I come back :(

Manufature idk if u already no but there is a skill for assassin (daggers) called invisibility where essentially u take no damage and can't be knocked off the ur dragon its the easiest way to hit the tough spots I'm sure u probably know but maybe it will help some of ur peeps.

Well since they're having an expansion coming at 2013, we at least know they have the budget to continue developing. "Dark Arisen" has a nice ring to it, so fingers crossed.

Im currently a level 50 Assassin and my main pawn is a female fighter named Caska, and my two other pawns are Guts and Griffith complete with their weapons and armor. Small world.

NG+ is just when u beat the story and start over (New Game +)...but with all skills, levels and equipment...so u just start back at cardassis as a badass...level cap is like 200 so u won't cap on 1 playthrough...u can do stuff u missed and get all the gear

There is a fast travel system.... you just gotta make a forgery of a portcrystal and buy multiples of it and ferrystones.... then just set up the portcrystals wherever you want.........
