As a side note, please never give your pawn launchboard or ladderblade. I was a sorcerer staying in the back and the warrior I hired would leave the front and forcibly launch me in the air, cancelling my spells.

If you put on a laurel circlet on your arisen, it’ll increase your drip

Counter point for Divine Defense: it can block normally unblockable attacks like Drake's fire breaths and all manner of spells like Meteoron and even Levin but funnily enough, the stamina draining roar of Drakes won't affect you in that stance because it's amazingly busted! Slap on the Ring of Disfavor which makes you pull all of the aggro and you become the Absolute Tank for strong foe battles. The Ring of Grit to reduce stamina cost of blocking is very good paired with this more defensive playstyle coupled with Impeccable Guard to move about hordes. Sure you have parries but did you notice that parrying strong hits from Cyclops or Chimeras send you flying backwards and leaves you in a sort of blockstun? Sure a Perfect Parry didn't use stamina but now you're not in melee range anymore. Well, not with Double D over here! Time it to the attack to avoid its stamina draining downside and you can cancel the stance the moment the hit is registered, ready for a counter attack! In the end tho, it's all about your playstyle really but there's a reason Divine Defense is given to you near the end of Fighter's ranking. It's the equivalent in defense to Riotous Fury is to offense.

If you like climbing monsters, gutting skewer is a must. Its so good. Cloudward can be employed mid air too so you can hit ground level targets. Also has good knockdown

I mained Warrior for most of the first game, and tried for DD2 but I recently switched to thief and then fighter, and I'm having way more fun than I thought possible! Blocks, counters, stabs... So much fun.

You're back!!!! My pawn started as a fighter until I moved him onto being a rogue....the damage he outputs is amazing! He carries the unmoored world for me! I do wanna do a NG+ where I play as a fighter for a bit!

I barely use cloudward slash on harpies but find that it's so effective when using it from a jump to headshot big monsters and knock them down

Changed my pawn to a full agro generation defense fighter and don’t know if I can ever go back. Taking provocation augment and two rings that increase odds of being targeted while they have shield drum has made enemies effectively ignore the entire rest of my team. I’m spamming sorcerer spells and having next to no interruptions… it’s so nice…

You wouldn't complain about gutting skewer if you used it on weakspots instead of the leg.

Fighter is definitely a vocation that relies on being attacked to make the most out of its toolkit due to having so many great counterattack skills. I tried playing a fighter without the aggro augments or ring, and it felt considerably worse than being the designated tank for the group due to not being able to land counters consistently.

"Coup de grace - yes I know italian" I´d be so offended by this (if I was french) XD Also, seems like fighter lost a lot of s compared to DDDA

Haven't played DD2 yet and closing in on max lvl in DDDA. Question, I really like the solo play style in 1. No pawns, just tearing through the world and BBI alone. Is that an option at the moment in DD2? I don't know what augments made it over, like the traveling alone one so was just wondering how solo-able 2 is.
