This is the Strongest Magick Archer Build available in Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen!
LVL 1 ~ 10 as a MAGE, then LVL 11 ~ 200 as a SORCERER (866 base Magick)
Items:
Weapon: Blackwing Bow (Gold Dragonforged) and ANY Dagger.
Head: Diadem (+10 Magick).
Torso: Trophy Jacket (+20 Magick) and Marshal's Bracers (+5 Strength).
Arms: Trophy Bracers (+20 Magick).
Legs: Trophy Boots (+30 Magick).
Rings: Master Ring (Up to +100 Magick) and Magick Archer's Band (Sixfold Bolt/Explosive Rivet).
OBS: Don't forget to carry a Wyrmking's Ring in your inventory in order to speed-up spell casting time (10% faster).
Augments:
Bloodlust: +20% Magick/Strength and less damage taken at night.
Attunement: +10% Magick.
Acuity: +20% Magick.
Autonomy: +20% Magick/Strength when traveling alone (no pawns).
Articulacy: Diminishes time required to intone spells (10% faster).
OBS: You can buy the Blackwing Bow from BBI Weapon Lvl 3. You can get Diadem from a vendor in Everfall (post-game), Trophy Armor Set from BBI Armor Lvl 2 and from completing quests in BBI Area, Marshal's Bracers can be bought at the Black Cat's Store, Sovereign's Mantle from BBI Armor lvl 2, Master Ring and Magick Archer's Band from BBI Gear lvl 3. Awesome job Thales, I'm loving these maxed out vocation vids. I'd just like to give you a headsup, you can go even higher than this! You can use the BBI Lv. 3 armor Head pieces (of either yellow or blue classes) which has the bonus of Boosts strength when noticed by enemies. That gives you a minimum of a 5% boost to both STR & MAG when facing 1 enemy. Unlike the Diadem which only gives +10 the 5% is a percentile boost which scales with the entire magick AND goes above and beyond the 80% bonus cap to give you an 89% or 1.89 times boost. Calculate your current magick according to that and you'll hit *4800!!!*

Magick Rebalancer with the magick bowman's ring is so hilariously OP, even with much lower level builds and levels. Hard mode is the only way to play like this, normal and easy mode with MA is like playing DD on Creative mode.

Já gostava de DD e joguei muito no PS3. Foi o único jogo que me fez criar mais duas contas para jogar comigo mesmo e mais paws. Se eu já gostava agora passei a admirar ainda mais com seu excelente trabalho. Fiz a mesma build e agora estou upando as outras contas novamente no PS4. DD é um baita jogo. Mas mano mas essa build está mais qualificada para usar o arco e staff só , com as daggers tu não dá dano algum , é suposto ter a volta de 500 de STR e 600+ de mag , essa é a build perfeita para mag archer .

BTW the wiki says that "The attack boosts stack multiplicatively with other Augments that increase Strength and Magick. In Dark Arisen the total cumulative increase in Strength and/or Magick from Augments is limited to +80% (i.e. 1.8 times)" Meaning that you're wasting a ton of magick buff, just having bloodlust or ferocity already puts you at 70% with a max of 80%

So i just tested this, and it does actually increase past +80% for a total of +170% (70% + 70% + 20% + 10%) so the wiki is wrong, my bad

@@OopsSorryBruh no it doesn't. Go to 3:36 and check the headgear. That helmet is supposed to give +10mag, instead gives him +18 (so 180% cap). With all the augments, be it 100+(70+70+10+20)= 270% or 1.7*1.7*.1.2*1.1= 380% (approx) he is wasting a ton. The 2 assassin ones alone give you 290% increase, so no reason to have any other one. Ideally the optimal value is one assassin +70 and a +10 warrior or sorc for total 1.7*1.1= 187% so cap 180%. The nighttime one is unreliable btw, so having it seems less effective than the pawnless one. Then he could add defensive augments (sanctuary being a must for low def magickal vocagions imho)

@@adyx1001 pretty sure the 70% boost augments are nerfed in dark arisen down to 20% buffs, which doesn't make up for the fact that they aren't always active or have crippling conditions for activation. So I think it's actually 1.2 x 1.1 x 1.2 x 1.2, which equals out to 1.9008 (1.8 if it caps out there). If it caps out then then the 10% buff could be dropped.

I added some Ranger levels and Assassin levels for stamina and strength. Ended with 730 ish magic, better for playing MK or other classes too

I started off with the build this KZfaqr has but decided to add 73 lvls as ranger for 720 magic and 4165 stamina so I won’t have to rely on consumables as much :)

I thought the max vocation for mage and sorcerer is 9. Why do you say 10? I can’t get past level 467 for magic. I did exactly as you said. Only difference is I stopped at 9 once I filled all the red dots and switched vocation. Did I screw up?

Mage and then sorcerer is basic for a lot of my builds. Explosive bolt is not any good unless you have a physical attack to set them off. I prefer ricochet hunter, works great in small areas. Cape I use the Divine. He said defense did not matter. That is wrong defense ALWAYS matters. It is like the old RPG trope: 'You never walk up the center of the room.' This build is mostly a good build though if you are focusing only on magic. The weapons and the head gear are a good choices even if you are not focused on magic only. Hard thing for me is getting master rings of any type.

Please tell me where did you get the armor for this build also I can't I did level level up my pond with other vacations but mainly Ranger and sorcerer was the main vocations I use in my pond has a 966 magicstat why my Arisen has eight soon-to-be 855 so 866 it's not the max magic stat you can gain

mage 10 sorc 190 it gives max magic. obviously, there are more well-rounded builds but for pure damage it's hard to beat.

Actually not, but inside the dungeon is quite hard to say when it's night time. Your best bet would be to rest till night and then go to BBI with your augments activated! :)

Add 20-ish Ranger levels for stamina and then Sorc till the end if MA is your goal. You'll be 3400hp, 3500st, 420str and 730mg which will be godly also for Mystic Knight. You can still play Ranger/Fighter after that just use elemental weapon then

No don't bother stamina is ultimately worthless on magic archer use VIM if you must but ran properly you'll kill everything before that's an issue I also recommend bringing a pack mule pawn to carry plenty of large mushrooms and potent greenwarish both can be bought in gran soren

When you beat Daimon, there are 4 chests in the room that opens. Level 3 weapon, level 3 gear, a Moonbeam Gem and mosl likely some rift cluster, but i never seen anything but that and i did god knows how many runs on 2 accounts

naw best build is fighter 1-10, then assassin 10-200. to me anyway. use mainly use melee so magic not much use to me.

Im at 4719 with one 100 and another with 97 magic ring. As far as i know, only females can wear a diadem, but i might be wrong. Im missing 3 magic, but ill gladly trade that 97 ring for a magic bowman ring.

You can always change to other vocation and start farming for vocation's rank and buy the augments from the new vocation you have selected.

Once you hit 200 switch vocations and get the augments you want, you can use 2x rings of perseverance and asura armour and then use pawns to farm the hostile castle guards after killing the dragon to max all vocations within an hour or 2 on both you and your pawn

Nope like arron said rebalance and periapt have same affect and that affect can only stack 4 times. Using 9 fold shot MA can kill daimon easily. But the fastest kill on daimon is probably using magic holy bolts, holy bolts is arguably the most potent move in the game.

@@davhen5874 exactly. And if you're a female in the game, you can get your magica up to over 5k at max stats. That's like 2 or 3 holy bolts for phase 1 and like 7 to 9 for phase 2 with damage boost. It's like a walk in the park. My male MA is at 4719 magic with at least 3 more to go since one of my rings is only at 97 instead of 100 mgic. Still no magic bomwan ring...

no idea about unbuffed but i can do this in about 15 seconds including the time it takes to skip cutscenes and stuff while having all of the consumable buffs. is physical just that strong? RIP assassin nerf MA immolation was the new way in dark arisen

Hello thank you for sharing this video. I honestly havent worked it out. When you say all the way to 200lv to choose sorcerer. You didnt mention which skills i should invest when playing sorcerer since i dont want to feel i invested my rc points on trash skills later on.

To get lv 200 you will have Rc points to buy every skill in the game.

You only get more RC points accumulated from BBI only. The one to purchase any skills was Discipline points.

As soon as you get Maelstrom, bbi gets easy, but holy bolt and combustion is you bread and butter for farming level on Duskmoon Tower. I slayed like 70-80 dragons with a ton of bait and talismans to get to 200.

Does Articulacy Augment effect on magic archer skills too? I thought its only for sorcerer skils.

Yes. Articulacy affects all spelled-based skills. The one augment that you are thinking of is Conversation. That does not affect MA bow skills or MK shield spells.

Get more magick stat when levelling as a sorcerer whereas levelling ad a warrior for example gives you better strength stats. Obviously strength is pointless on a magick class

@@mistafone3628 Besides you unintentionally made a fairly balanced build anyway. The difference between a min maxed character and a balanced one is seconds with endgame equipment, and the balanced character often sports its own advantages in other stats. Min maxing often takes away from other stats after all.

I don't get it. So the best way to play Magik Archer is... to not play as a MA throughout the whole game, and once you get to 200 you play some extra end game content as a MA. Is that it?

@@x5starhustla it's just min maxing the magica. You can play as MA from hitting level 10. But, if you want the absolute highest magica possible, you start as a mage, hit level 10 and then swap to sorc. That gives you 866 base magic in the end. But even with much lower magic you can still enjoy it since the bow alone gives you 1.5k magic in it's base form. Fully upgraded it's around 2.5k

Fiz essa build (com os mesmos base stats) única diferença é que usei Ferocity no lugar do Sinew e Framae Blades no lugar da HK e só tô com 4059 de Magick. O master Ring que tenho dá 95 Magick e 380 Stamina. Alguém sabe o que pode ter de diferente?

I know this is a late reply but if you do the butterblack lvl 3 weapon farm and change both you and your pawn to the vocation weapon you want just purify multiples and you're guaranteed to get it as the weapon pool is lowered greatly

I run mine with 4719 Magic with 1 rung having 100 magic, and the other is 97 as i don't have the magic bowman ring. But i also do not have the crown, so im missing 14 magic points with that crown. The total would be 4736. Not sure if you can push it higher as a male MA. I think only females can wear a diadem, so the male total would be a bit lower. 4722ish, but I'd gladly give away 100 points for the ring

The only real pain with this build, is getting to level 200. If you level a strider, assassin, or Ranger, you can use blast arrows & barbed nails to farm Death, and level really fast. With the sorcerer, your options are a lot more limited. I've been farming cursed dragon's in the duskmoon tower, but it's so much slower than farming Death, and costs rancid bait meat (though 1 meat can usually be used to kill 2-3 cursed dragons) At least it's easy to do. Just holy focused bolt & comestion (or miasma if I fight fire dragons).

Farming Daimon worked with me I think it took me around 2 hours to get from 100 to 200 or something

Not to res a dead thread, but if you have double barbed nails you can use glicel to gravity kill death too. Takes a bit longer (the 3rd glicel staggers, so you land 2 before putting over pit) but you'll max out sorcerer in an hour or so

Insanely powerful. Not even frostwyrms (and they were a pain to fight) are a match anymore and I used to struggle fighting them, same with elder ogres.

Good video but stamina stats will be a big problem. You should level up as a ranger from 10 to 70 or 80 then sorcerer to 200. Cause of the stamina you use as magic archer.

rwdillin you don’t need to level as a certain class bro that’s just min/maxing (getting the best possible stats for when you hit 200 the max level) and is not required at all. It’s just for the hardcore and try hard players who want to be as strong as possible. To each his own my friend play how you want

You can get them by purifying BBI Armor lvl. 2, or you can: Get Trophy Bracers for completing "In Aid of the Emerald King IV"; Trophy Boots for completing "Visions of the End II" notice board quests which are in Bitterblack island. (See Bitterblack Isle Harbor and The Arisen's Refuge at wiki for location) Hope this helped!

Ik this is a super late reply, but you can get the trophy jacket from the room with the first void key locked gate. When you first enter the room if you go up top above that door. ( Path to get up above is to the right of the door just climb) once you reach the top turn left towards the fountain, then go past the fountain keep going straight past it to the railing, climb over the railing head up the rock path and unlock the door with a moon gem and bam you get the jacket.

I think a ranger build is faster, if you use blast arrows, the STR buffs and tenfold volley, most enemies will be staggered and won't move. The issue with the ranger build is that you need to carry a bunch of heavy stuff, like large mushrooms for stamina, the buff items and the blast arrows. On the other hand, leveling to level 200 as sorcerer can be kinda boring.

The fasters way is to get to farm dragons. Especially in Moontower in bbi. Get rancid meat bait and just spam the holy bold and combustion. I can kill 3-4 dragons while farming if i jave a decent staff. It is tedious and boring since 1 dragon gives you roughly 2 level, but it's faster than running wild through bbi or the story. Talismans get 2x exp, so that should make it easier

I don't really know buddy, but I think I got it in about 5 hours or so, but it's all about luck, you can get Trophy jacket from a Moonbean Gem Treasure Chest also :)!

Not really buddy, once you have the right setup, you can melt anything in the game with this build :)! Also if you want full DPS like my build in the video, make sure you do lvl 1 ~ 10 as Mage and 11 ~ 200 as Sorcerer for the highest Base Magick (866) ^_^!

If you have figured it out the max level is 200 so go up yo level 10 with Mage then go with Sorcerer all the way to level 200 then switch to Magic Archer

I seriously can not figure out how the heck he has a base of 4600 Magic. I leveled a couple of times as a different vocation. I have a base of 817 magic, his is 866. I have all the same gear yet my magic is only sitting at 3982. I have no idea where this massive gap of 600 is coming from.

I am wondering the same thing. Something doesn't add up but I am not sure what it is. The only thing I can think of is he did the video at night which allowed for the bloodlust augment to reflect in his numbers.

You keep using the Max Sorcerer Build for these vocations without considering a very strong 'naked' build for each particular vocation. This works with certain armor, weapons, and augments but is not the best *'overall'* build available to defeat all enemies.

@@geert574 I'm currently on a 600/600 build (strength/magick) with 300/300 (knockdown/stagger) only 270 defense but armor takes care of this....these are naked base numbers that will be great for MA & MK. mage 10 levels, assassin 87 levels and sorcerer 103 levels. btw I hated the time spent on sorcerer lol.

@@tomidomusic It makes sense to go balanced if you like switching between different classes often, people have proven that even with the exact opposite of a maxed build, you can still do well with the right augments and gear - base stats matter the least overall. You will not struggle to kill Daimon regardless of how you build, but it may take you 30-40 seconds longer to kill him per fight than someone who is running a maxed build, so it all comes down to preference.

@@IntegrityGames I think especially with MK it's worth trying since I'll rely on my shield as an offensive weapon. Grinding 103 lvls as sorcerer was the most boring part of the build. wh1sper 123 recommended the build and the numbers are sound. I agree with you in a normal approach stats don't matter but being proficient with a shield against all enemies will be fun.

Here I'm plugging in Weapon STR 1006 using the Darkening Storm bow as example. (( 1 + ( 600 * 1 * 1.7 ) + ( 1006 * 1 * 1.7 )) * 2.14 = 5844.8 (( 1 + ( 866 * 1 * 1.7 ) + ( 1006 * 1 * 1.7 )) * 2.14 = 6821.5 6821.5 / 5844.8 = 1.167 16.7% damage difference.

You don't need defense if you don't get hit. Simple. Kill everything without getting touched. I 1st thought that would be hard, but boi was i wrong. Sorc and MA and you're good to go

It's more for the fun of it, once you've beat the game already a few times. Also, you can farm daemon really fast, get lvl 3 weapon, Armor and gear drops, then send them to an alt account or friends.

I agree. In my opinion, the best magick archer build is the hybrid with 600 str and magick or 550 with balanced defenses.

This is because majority of damage comes from weapon equipped. Stats differences from leveling up only mostly influences health and stamina

not really. leveling up give big bonus to attack and such, sorc and assassin have one the biggest damage bonus gains in the game. assassin can give 900 attack sorc can give little over 800 bonus to magic attack.
