To the babies it made no difference. They never knew that they were stolen, they only knew the love of these two. The only one who suffered is the mother, but she must understand her babies can thrive in a life without her eventually, just depends on when

I just like to say: in the "how to train your dragon" books, they start the series by taking eggs from a nest! so this made me really happy. seeing the movie (while good in its own right) didnt really go in accordance to the books. toothless was a weakling in the books! that was what made him loveable

I loved it, but it would have been a better story if Tristana and Lulu found the eggs abandoned and rescued them instead of stealing the eggs away from the mother dragon to begin with.

Technically the other side of the story is a mother dragon who spent many months brooding over her soon to be children and right before she gets to see them begin their new lives *BOOM* they are stolen from her.... never to be seen again. It's a matter of perspective really.
