Takkuri Himare It's mostly Garlic Jr.'s men that are incompetent. Lucky for him too. If they actually killed Piccolo, he would not have been able to have fun with those balls of his. Though he is still pretty dumb. Opening the Dead Zone which is the one thing that can stop him is not the smartest thing to do. What worse is that he does it twice. though the second time doesn't happen in TFS canon. Honestly I saw quite a few inconsistencies with this film (many of which the guys have pointed out)

Looking back, this movie was actually beautifully depicted. The art and animation were great, the primary setting was unique, and the choreography was ideal - with the more extravagant elements of DBZ, but at the same time, the grounded martial arts of Dragonball. Goku even fights with the Power Pole. I also like how Gohan, Krillin, Piccolo, AND Kami get to help out...

@@MSCDonkeyKong Right? It's a really cool vibe altogether - It's like the perfect transitional point in the series, and it certainly benefits greatly from having the budget of a film. The colours, lighting, and backdrop seem very mellow, but with a stylized look to it. The next few movies have a certain charm as well - and I prefer it over much of what we get nowadays...

It's a derogatory term for an African, specifically an African from around the Delta of the river Niger, but it was used as a racial slur for African Americans in general. it's highly taboo to say it today, especially if you're not black; it's almost certainly on a list of words that could get this comment shadow banned on KZfaq if I wasn't trying my hardest to avoid actually using it. But it used to be used fairly commonly, even as recently as 60 years ago, to the point where it's still in the books American kids read in their education system.

I think it's one of those jokes where they take what was said in an official dub and make fun of it. So Kami probably said "i think piccolo has been slain" in an official dub. Not sure on that, but it seems like one of those jokes. Of course, had you not seen the official dubs, you wouldn't know those jokes were referencing the original show. Like Burter saying he's the fastest in the Universe...

So uh..every arc in Z except the Buu arc then? Goku WAS the strongest during the Saiyan Saga, but the Z warriors still had their time to fight. Technically speaking, Goku doesn't even win here. Vegeta lost because of Gohan's great ape form falling on him. In the Namek Saga once again, Goku was the strongest but Krillin, Gohan, Piccolo and Vegeta all got their fair share of screentime. Especially Vegeta. Goku was NOT infact the strongest for like 90% of the Android/Cell Saga. Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks and Piccolo were all stronger than him atleast once. Goku doesn't even take the win in this arc, it was Gohan. The Buu Saga is where Goku stays the strongest for the majority of the story, but even then, Gohan became the strongest after his boost thanks to the Old Kai. Ultimate Gohan is confirmed to be stronger than SSJ3 Goku and he probably would've defeated Kid Buu had he been there. Keep in mind that Kid Buu is NOT the strongest Buu, he's just the most dangerous as he doesn't really have a brain or morals.

Arguably did more characters justice than the Cell Saga when only Piccolo and Tien as side characters got true (fighting) spotlights and most others like Krillin, Yamcha etc were on the back burner. Goku by and large has always been the only character that 'matters' with this logic. Plus are we just forgetting the Buu Saga exists oooor? That was Goku/Vegeta central. Even Gotenks barely got one good ish fight in and everyone else does effectively nothing lmao

My mother is the type of Christian that believes “hell” should never be uttered, and even if you’re talking about a female dog using the word “bitch” will, somewhat ironically, get your face b-slapped. Now that I’m an adult mother of 3 (and also Christian, but the laid back and non-confrontational kind!) my rule on words like that is, as long as you’re using them as they were originally intended they’re not profanity. For example; when we adopted our female dog a couple months back she was described to us by the Rescue as “the sweetest little Doberman-dominant mixed-breed bitch you’ll ever meet!” I’m fine with any of my kids repeating that because in this context ‘bitch’ is literally the proper name for Maze’s species. I love the idea that either the movies take place in a parallel canon like in unabridged and even without Goku dying piccolo still wants to take Gohan as his own kid, or the abridged version of the timeline does include the movies and this presumably happens just before radditz, meaning piccolo wanted to take him ahead of time and Goku dying just gave him a perfect excuse to.
