I'll never forget when, a couple years back, I remembered wanting to rebuy Ultimate Tenkaichi because I couldn't find my original copy. So I went to GameStop and the moment I told the guys behind the counter I wanted to get it, they both looked me dead in my eyes and said: "Are you 100% sure you want to buy this?? Rock-Paper-Scissors: The Game??? I could recommend some games if you need help finding something-" and that's when I stopped him, smiled and said "Yes. Yes I do." Honestly was probably one of the only sales those guys have ever made that they wish they could've prevented.

Personally, the worst part of the game is that it basically plays itself. I remember the first time I played it and i was pissed that the game was basically just playable cutscenes

Honestly there are two things this game did right: Saiyan Tails Being able to fight like a mentor after training with them (Instead of only getting the Supers/Ults)

The fact that this was one of my first Dragon Ball games aside from Xenoverse, this game had to teach you how to properly mash the Y (or triangle) button in order to survive the giant boss fights. I did like the idea of Hero Mode and how they even got to speak, but man were you gonna have a hard time playing the game if you weren't always in High Tension mode.

I will accept this slander no longer, this game was the best rock paper scissors i've ever played. All seriousness tho I loved this game shame its the way it is 😂

It's crazy that this game still has better customization than xenoverse 1 and 2. Tails that actually move, hair that changes to different styles when turning super saiyan, actual voice acting other than grunts and super callouts, etc...

You know, this game could've been potentially one of the BEST dbz games if they didn't make the gameplay glorified rock paper scissors, and just copied the gameplay from Raging Blast or the Budokai Tenkaichi games because honestly i think this game nailed almost every other aspect because visually? I really like this game and while its not the Biggest roster of characters its still a decently solid roster, and both story modes are pretty neat especially the one that retells the original story as it includes the really good looking reanimated parts of important moments in the dbz story

This game is one of my guilty pleasures. It's in the catagary of it's so bad it's good, and i have to play it at least once a year. ha takes me back. Thanks doto now i gotta play this again.

I replayed Ultimate Tenkaichi just last year and it really is very boring. But the one thing you can't deny is that the OST is fucking fire btw. I don't know if Doto will find out later but spamming triangle is the most effective way because it actually fills your super much faster

I love that the title is literally just the game. There is nothing else to say about it, well besides the kickass soundtrack. And it has some of the best looking ki blasts and beam struggles imo

God I'll never forget going and buying this on release, being so excited for a DBZ game with a character creator, only to be slammed in the nuts by just how ass this game is to play! Also a fun fact I quickly learned about the AI is that the choices they make for square vs triangle almost always follow one of three preset patterns, always choosing square, always choosing triangle, or alternating back and forth.

When I was 10, I remember being so hyped about this game, My father bought a XBox 360 and the first game was that "Tenkaichi", imagine the hype of a kid who played for several hours and completed all Budokai Tenkaichi 3, waiting to play the next of it. sure, I played, and even being a 10 year old with not a big game experience, I knew that that game sucked. after some months, The Xbox got the "red circle of the death" or something like that and we couldn't fix it, I hate that game with all my soul

This was the first dragon ball game I owned. I really liked the character creator and had fun roleplaying the story. When I played it with my friends they said the combat was terrible and I later discovered xenoverse

Those damned timing quick time events accounted for like 75% of my deaths in this game… and I was stupid enough to play the story mode 3 times to have a character of each type (Light, Medium, and Heavy). I also subjected myself to the torture of the online multiplayer where the input lag is so bad that you can not feasibly play it. But I do like some things about this game. The visuals are the sickest thing in the world to me, and the fact that this game allowed you to customize your Aura and Xenoverse didn’t makes me so unreasonably mad. That and of course you mentioned the soundtrack.

I ain't gonna lie I was so young when playing this but I love every second of this game ngl

I'm going to be honest: The most fun I had with this game was playing the co-op versus mode. The guessing mechanic was so broken that neither of us took it too seriously, but that's honestly what made it fun.

This was the very first Dragon Ball game I was old enough to remember lookig foward for during its development... And I am a Budokai Tenkaichi 2 boy, therefore when I saw that game title... I got bamboozed. I gave it away years ago; and got it back last year *solely* because I wanted to get all its trophies, so I could consider the Raging Blast saga fully over in terms of trophies (I succeded, and so the game is laying forgotten in my closet once again).

As someone who played ultimate tenkaichi, the combat system is so unintuitive its impossible to explain how bad it is. You really needed to be there

I actually really loved the hero mode with the voice acted character dialogue. Even though the options are limited and the gameplay sucks, i really like this story mode more than the story for xenoverse by a large margin
