Why wouldn’t they ask the 17 yr old (at the time, 4-1/2 years ago) Tina F’ing S, which is better than all of them technically? She shreds TheDooo, Herman, and Cole! She plays stuff on the guitar that they struggle with. Ex: TheDooo [at 24y/o- - only plays 25 seconds of Moonlight ( actually only 15 seconds). Cole plays it, but not as well as a 17 year old.[and he played it as a 23yo.]. I’ve heard all three. They all do Dr. Viossey’d version. The only danger to her version is

@@frankiek2269 you’re basing it off of one song? One song she likely spent more time practicing? Coles videos are highly edited but thedooo is always playing pretty much live so it’s hard to really compare.
@frankiek2269
@frankiek2269 2 жыл бұрын
@@taylorgang2237 Not one song. TheDooo started playing guitar at 12. That’s “Ironman” and “Smoke on the Water” crap. Look at Tina S at 12. She has her own page also. There is a reason why very notable ppl shouted her out on Twitter, starting at when she was 13. And she played them at that age, as well as TheDooo nowadays. Herman Li, as far as I can tell, is the only one that knows TheDooo, at the young age of 27. Do you think I don’t believe TheDooo is an incredible guitarist? He’s phenomenal! And when you reach the level of mastery that Tina has, of course you can mimic songs with relative, or perfect pitch. Do you think the young lady that played Beethoven (5:56 song averaging 7+ notes/second) can’t play a simple Green Day song first listen? They are famous, like the Ramones, for being a three chord band. I know you’re defending TheDooo. I’m not attacking him. Just pointing out there is a lady out there better than he is, IMO. It is art, so no one is definitively right. Not even me.

I love the fact that Herman just acknowledges that it takes far too long to learn a song like this and there's not a lot gained from it. I love how he just confesses it's torture and there's not much point to learning it because of how much you need to practice it. There isn't much of a way to express yourself through a song like this either when you have to practice it day in day out just to remember how to play it. Such a humble dude....

Think Herman is saying, as a creator of this song, he knows each individuals part and he finds it interesting seeing other peoples interpretation of the song because most musicians interpret alot by ear or tabs(someone else's interpretation). So if there's two guitarists, you end up learning a bit of both of their parts combined.

Respect to Cole, and to you too sir. This has to be one of the hardest songs to play on guitar. You nailed it in the original version of course, and this guy nailed it in his own way as well. You should absolutely be excited listening to this tribute to your rock masterpiece. Cole is great, and he can obviously play on your level...but I know you could answer back at any time. He's not the superior guitarist here, but I think he is definitely worthy of your respect.

Soldiers of the Wastelands is criminally underrated, and probably my favorite song they've done. Highway To Oblivion should've gotten more attention, but covid stopped their US tour and I believe they have more fans here in the states than any other country

@@derrickcorreia It's production value, he is a guitarist yes but KZfaq is his main platform for getting his work out there and in his bio it says he has a strong passion for video production. So really what I see he is doing is making simple music videos for his covers to bring more energy to the content and get viewers engaged. He has 1.1m subs so I guess it works.

@@20cmusic like Herman said in this vid, cole is making a music video. There’s no delusion that it’s live, no one is claiming it to be. You might still have an issue with the way he did the cover either way, but if you are mad coz you think it’s meant to be live that’s not his fault

Or a reaction to someone covering Yngwie's attempts at doing stage antics (kicks etc.) after he got old and overweight. Or a cover of Yngwie introducing his row of Marshall stacks, but not his band. Malmsteen is such a narcissist.

would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the Jonathon Young/RichaadEB version of this song; I like cole's version too, where he mixes in his own style over the original, but their cover is redone entirely from scratch and I think it turned out really cool. Might be an interesting and insightful reaction
