I know Fury of the Storm is the most popular song on this album and Soldiers of the Wasteland is a fan favourite, but this one is just *chef’s kiss* perfect. I especially love the dark clean guitar intro.

I’m not a big Dragonforce fan myself, they’re an extremely talented band and I have lots of respect for their musicianship, but the constant speed of the rhythm and 3 minute shred solos in the middle sound too samey for me. I used to be a huge fan, and was pretty familiar with their first 3 albums) I come back to this song for the intro alone thousands of times, one of the most epic intros they’ve ever made.

Hands down best dragonforce song. The two guitars really hold their own character. The lead isn’t just a wanking solo - it compliments the rhythm so well.

Got this album back when it came out back in 2004. Absolute state of the art power metal. It will reach it's 20th year this year yet it still sounds new, fresh and epic to me!

@@emmajones752 I feel you bro. Slowly warming to Marc by watching live videos but they sound so different. I think Marc is a better singer generally but ZP had the rawness, love the old videos when you can tell they're all fucked up on stage. Still love em now but they were the glory days for sure

Of the first four albums, I bought this one the last, but it certainly isn't the least. This is where Dragonforce really solidified their own so-called subgenre that is Extreme Power Metal.

Ah yes, the song that officially got me into DragonForce. The fact that a Naruto AMV with this song is what opened the door for power metal and metal overall for me is actually quite funny, but it goes to show that metal is truly universal. 🤘🏾 (P.S. They REALLY need to play this and Black Fire live again. Those were two of some of their best and most criminally underrated tracks in their discography)
