Dragon's Dogma 2 is an action role-playing game played from a third-person perspective.[2] The player takes on the role of a character called the "Arisen", a hero marked by a dragon whom they must defeat. The player explores the world they live in, taking on quests, and fighting monsters, while being caught up in a geopolitical conflict between two kingdoms. To assist in this, the Arisen relies on allies called "Pawns", non-playable characters who join the player's party. These characters are AI-controlled, but function like player-controlled avatars, able to assist in fights, provide information on enemies, and give guidance to active quests. Players can each create and customize their avatar and their own Pawn character with different genders, appearances, and race. In addition, players can recruit two additional Pawns that have been created by other players.

Can't believe people are saying this game looks bland or dated. It's a low fantasy setting with more grounded aesthetics. There is something so serene about the game's vistas and open spaces that contrasts with the dangers of the monsters that lurk around every corner. Somehow, it brings me at peace.

Agreed! At times in cities I like to chill by the music playera, especially the ones playing the chord instrument or lute in Battahl, it's super nice and relaxing.

It's a very good dynamic that some games have. Namely FromSoft games, like Dark Souls and Elden Ring, or CAPCOM games, such as Monster Hunter and Dragon's Dogma. All of these games swing between two extremely distinct moods. One is of intense action and incredible danger, usually with loud banger music. Then, in between those intense moments, the music either disappears completely or becomes much more sparse and relaxed, and you get to enjoy the beautiful vistas and detailed environments while walking around. It's also noteworthy that none of these games hold your hand too much when it comes to navigation. You get no paths drawn on your map, maps in general are imprecise, and a lot of important stuff isn't marked at all. You're forced to become familiar with your surroundings, to take things a bit slower than you would in another game, which means you end up engaging a lot more strongly with the non-combat mechanics, which ends up becoming quite relaxing

Both this game and the first one had some of my favorite soundtracks. I played the first during summertime and it always reminds me of windy warm days. I am so glad the ambience and music matched that same feeling in this game as well

alternate menu и character creation это то что я искал. спасибо❤ Вообще музыка в 2 догме особенно боевые темы меня скорее разочаровали. это дум дум дум безидейное в сражениях с гоблинами ну просто уже бесить начало на 100 часу и хочется вообще выключить музыку. там вроде есть длс с музыкой из 1 части, но у нас в России не купишь

@@JacopoSkydweller Personally on xbox I haven't had a single performance issue. I think it's not as well optimized on PC but on console it's been great. I gotta say the price held me back aswell at first, but I'm almost 50 hours in now and it was so worth it. This game is amazing, so fun, I don't regret getting it.
