I cried through the end of the movie, but for this series, I was emotionless throughout this scene. We know it will repeat because the developers aren't done milking this thing.

Heck if we are going by this logic the third movie wouldn’t even exist since in books 1. Light fury doesn’t exist 2.Dragons talk in the books 3. In the relationship between Vikings and dragons was equivalent of slavery(excluding hiccups treatment of toothless,the small dragon) which in the movies is the absolute opposite of the Vikings relationship with the dragons. In the movie Vikings and dragons co-exist and benefit from each other while in the books the relationship is constantly portrayed as toxic for many reasonable reasons.(Master and Slave) 4. Toothless didn’t leave hiccup in the books. They stayed together UNTIL hiccup was an old man. The dragons leaving also didn't take a few minutes. It took decades for them to slowly leave and even then hundreds stayed and still remain with us today however we can't see them since every dragon in the books can camouflage 5. Hidden world, movie settings and grimmel and most characters including Astrid NEVER existed in the books.

I agree. It was pretty disappointing. I think the main problem arose from the third film where they let go of their dragons for absolutely no reason. Here they do the same

⁠@@MegaBond101 Grimmel was simply the straw that broke the camel’s back. One man managed to chase them out of their home, and they only barely managed to beat Drago’s army because of him. At that moment, with most of them drowning or burning to death, it was the best possible moment for Dragons to become a myth. Had the dragons stayed and attracted more attention to themselves, it would’ve only gotten worse. Hell, imagine if the Holy Roman Empire found out that Dragons were real and set their sights on Berk’s dragons. Hiccup’s age was one where Berk and its few allies were diamonds in a vast desert of coarse sand. Which makes it all the more frustrating that this show, in the time of THE MODERN AGE for fucks sake, ended the same way. Now, we have much more widely coordinated conservation efforts, and protective laws for various species. Perhaps it would’ve been a bit hopeful, but it still would’ve made far more sense narratively to say that they were ready to come back. But nope! Now the whole series was pointless.

​@@TinkatonOCorviknightBodies It's not pointless The whole series essentially was basically showing if Hiccup's final words in the franchise were "When Dragons can return in peace" and it showed they can't return yet, people aren't ready for dragons and it's clear because people like Buzzsaw and Sledkin wanted to hurt them or use them and pretty much proved it's not time for them to return Hell even if with laws and protective services from governments, people will still try and kill or use dragons, heck if the government found out dragons existed I wouldn't be surprised if they took them and used them as weapons or experimented on them, or even sold them to black market places, people in real still even hunt endangered and protected animals to this day, so them not returning is very accurate and not just a simple history repeat

@@renemuz2568 I honestly think the ending of giving up on your dreams and releasing the dragons into the hidden world was a terrible idea in general. It was poorly executed and even the writer didn’t like doing it(deandeblois) he had originally planned for Drago Bludvist to be a crucial part of the third film but Universal forced him and his team to come up with something less dark since apperantly “no one would be interested in Drago Bludvist” so if anyone’s to blame for all of this it’s Universal. I’m pretty sure they’re also the ones that made Dragons: The Nine Realms and rushed both animators and writers for this project

Me too, I could have at least 10 seasons, they gave the series their best and there are people who think it's rubbish, I respect it, if the person doesn't like it then why watch it? But I'm going to miss the series a lot so I'm going to have to wait for my country to post season 7 and 8 to watch it

It's technically 4 but the team used a branding strategy and split the seasons in half to make it seem like the show is doing better than it actually is
