Went back to check the area the pull was made, the difference in slope was after the 1/8th mile section we were testing in but I kept driving it out so the numbers on the 1/8 mile were on the same slope of less than 1 degree difference.

I’ve been using dragy for a year now. The results differ by 0.1 with track times at most. It depends on how I stage the car. I use custom mode to measure the acceleration on 3rd gear pulls and use it as a road dyno

Been using G-Tech's for years. Very accurate if no wheel spin and was within a couple .01"s at the strip. Great for tune dialing.

definitely a great and helpful alternative when you want to tune and cant find a loaded dyno, or track thats open

For those wanting to set up custom speeds to start and stop your tests, click "connect" on your Dragy app and then press "+" That will take you to a page with "defaults" on the upper left side and "custom" on the right. Select custom. Click "add" and enter your speed range. This helps with dialing in ignition timing at full throttle because you start at the same speed and can tailor it to allow a full pull in one gear (shifting will introduce error and won't allow for a consistent comparison with each timing change).

Hey man really appreciate the content! Your channel content rivals some paid content I’ve received. Also, I bought a dragy after watching this video. Much easier to see if improvements are real, next best thing to a dyno. Would be cool if HP tuners could accept data from dragy

The whole idea in tuning is to make it better! Right? Yes the factory cares more about emissions than mpg or hp. Did you pull in the same direction? I also noticed you didn't show your cam tune. That would have been most helpful!

Vvt is beneficial to power gains. I can confirm. On a caliber srt4. I made 430 whp on the stock cam timing setup. I then went in and advanced the intake and exhaust cams. No overlap as turboed cars do not need or want any overlap. Then smoothed it out after 3500 rpm and retarded the cams by 5 degrees by redline. And gained 30 whp to make 460 to the tire. We retard them up top to get the air out quicker. And advance down low to help with spool

I have a few different vehicles in the “garage” part of the dragy app. Do you know how to associate a run with a vehicle, so when it saves you know what vehicle the times are for?

The only flaw i see is that at 9:15 when you're attempting another run, you just had sat in the truck idling, for a couple of minutes prior. So i'm assuming the engine has been a bit heatsoaked. You should have driven up that road, then u-turn back, then right back to that starting point so the air would have cooled down the engine a bit. IMO that's why the 0-60 was a little slow, because the computer probably pulled timing.
