HS senior year 2010: Crazy how I’d listen to this many nights, almost every night thinking about what I wanted to do with my life and somehow become a firefighter and help people. Now 11 years later I’m a firefighter in the air force and teaching at the fire academy. Which was my dream. Work hard, believe in yourself and things will come true. This Drake is gone. Never to return. In 30 for 30Freestyle he says that he can't rap like this, 19 wide-eyed and naive. He's drastically changing, and he's in a new space and he chooses to embrace it. He grew up and changed. No, not changed, evolved. His style, his lyricism, all of him has evolved and adapted to the years and all the new styles of rap. That's what keeps him on top.

yeah he's a fucking racist then. Go check his lyrics. Surrounded by Filipinos I think of the worst case - What does that mean? Watch blue and green diamonds I call it the Earth face - dirty face? I'm gettin' ya cake I tell you how ya dessert taste - criticize filipino food I get a dessert plate Y'all eat pedigree as ya meal - you saying filipino food is a dog food?

It's crazy how much music is able to recall certain times in your life. When this dropped, I was an 8th grader going into my freshman year at the same high school Klay Thompson just graduated from. I'm 24 years old turning 25 in 2 weeks and I'm just sitting here reflecting. If only I could go back with the knowledge I have now, but that's what growth is I guess. And this song really makes me appreciate where I am at now in life.

+Kobe Bonhomme I been on this Drake ish since 08 before he really dropped So Far Gone. Most of you dudes just listen to flows and think he's really changed but Drake has always been conscious of everything. He's on a new wave . . . y'all miss the old Drake but I honestly think he's progressed.
@kobebonhomme70378 жыл бұрын
sonofaballer96 i think he's progressed too. No need to put me into a group without knowing anything about me but it's all good. Did you happen to get to know him from Comeback Season? That had good enough reasons to stick with him
@sonofaballer968 жыл бұрын
Kobe Bonhomme I first heard him on one of Lil Wayne's old mixtapes and on this. My cousin who lived with me was also a huge Degrassi fan, so I kinda knew him from that. I just go back and rap some of his old songs with my bro sometimes but you can hear the difference in his lyrics. He went from successful to 4pm in Calabasas.
