Its main focus, however, was on Kanye, and not Pusha. The material focusing solely on Pusha was sparse at best. Therefore, when Pusha responded with the Story of Adidon, not only did he reveal embarrassing potential truths about Drake and his family, he created a metaphorical relationship between Drake’s supposed deadbeat characteristics as attributes also of his parents. In addition, the majority of the track focuses on Drake and Drake alone, with the disses aimed at OVO and the like intended to hit Drake where it hurts. Furthermore, the song interrupts Drake’s potential popularity and the success of his upcoming album and Adidas rollout. His response, an apology and overall futile explanation for the blackface image, was seen by many as a failure. Of course, said image is now irrevocably associated with both the album and the shoe deal, and therefore can potentially impact sales. It now seems like the battle of sorts is over, at least until the potential response on Drake’s album (conjecture, and not confirmed). It also seems like Pusha has extra material on Drake as well, though they both seem content at the current point. If the issue becomes prolonged, my verdict may change, but at this juncture, it is easy for me to give motherfucking Aubrey the goddamn L.

Gotta give drake respect but pusha has something drake will never have and that's the respect for what he did before and during his rap career in the streets. There's more proof for what push did than there is lack of evidence and when street life is such a big part of hip hop it's hard for push to lose since he lived it and backed up with classics(hell hath no fury, lord willin, +2 great solo albums). It's a situation that you gotta give drake respect for coming hard but you can't take anything away from push cause he has released such great music and as far as we can tell he lived the life which you can't say for a lot of rappers.

As far as the "taking care of your own" bar, its a known thing that Drake hardly promotes or looks out for artists on his label (PND, Roy Woods, Dvsn, etc.) so I find that bar ironic because it feels like drake doesn't want his label mates to shine because he is worried about their success. OVO is known as the "sweat shop" for a reason (he takes a lot of lyrics, beats, and songs from his label mates, especially PND).
