Dynasty Trades In 5 is a dynasty trade show that focuses on dynasty fantasy football trade strategy, rookie draft pick values, individual player profiles, etc. For each player we discuss whether or not they are a dynasty trade target for 2022 and 2023, and if we lean sell vs. buy. We also get in depth on the 2022 rookie draft class, the 2023 rookie draft class, and dynasty rookie pick values in general. We don't do dynasty mock drafts yet, but perhaps we will in the future! There are many great resources available to the community, whether it be articles, dynasty trade calculators, trade finders, etc. We try to focus on short form content that is digestible and relevant. Hate it or love it here’s the real deal with Nix: Payton retires if he doesn’t work out. So he’s gonna be asked to do about as much as Brock Purdy eventually. Initially they will probably keep him very on script and have him in a very structured situation, not asking him to freelance. He absolutely will get at least 2 years. He will probably have an 18ppg ceiling. If you construct your roster so you have hammers elsewhere in the lineup, this is a very workable situation- for example if you have Josh Allen or Mahomes as your qb1 and multiple top 10 WRs, youre still fine with Nix as your superflex. Everyone wants the sexy players but you won’t have them in every slot of your lineup, just be open to diverse ways to construct your roster.

@@ShaneIsTheWorstBut there are some traits that have a higher correlation with success, like pocket presence and accuracy/anticipation. Daniels has none of those

@@brendonbuffaloe8830 that's what I'm thinking. I just think Maye's intangibles and capability as a team leader and game manager with his arm talent and pocket ability typically gives him a much more reasonable floor where I feel confident he will be a starting QB in the NFL for years to come. I don't watch him and think "oh he's lacking in these pretty important areas he might literally be out of a job in 2 years" like I do with Jayden Daniels who is just another rushing QB who might not work out in the NFL enough to keep him as a franchise QB. I don't want a high chance my 1.03 is literally worth trash like you see with Trey lance or Justin fields now. Id rather draft Maye at the 1.05 and accept he doesn't have a chance to be Jalen hurts.

I don’t think Daniels is a bust, at all. If he busts, it’ll be because he gets hurt. Too much talent and I think he’s got the right mental makeup.

I ended with Maye at the 1.10. Couldn't let him go at that spot. Took Caleb at the 1.01 and Odunze at the 1.06. Really didn't look at Maye that much as I wasn't planning on picking him

Personally if i couldnt trade. Give me drake maye over daniels by alot even in 4 point passing tds. I am truly an idiot, but i view daniels alot like i view bo nix, minus draft capital. I dont really care that you broke out in your soxth college season. But ultimately because of the market, i would draft daniels over maye, then try to trade daniels for Maye plus anything

Daniels is at worst what Justin Fields was. So his rushing alone will hold his fantasy value for at least 1 season. Sell after year 1 if you still don’t like what you see.

Maye could very easily be better than Daniels, and you're turning down a plus on top of Maye, with the reasoning that you can then trade assets for Ekeler... when Pollard could very easily be better than Ekeler. Interesting thought process.

Pollard will out produce Ekeler by a mile this year. He’s gonna be a top 17-20 RB. The Daniels hype is ridiculous solely because of rushing upside. This is why I play six-point passing TD format. It completely eliminates the overvalue of running quarterbacks and makes it so that good quarterbacks are actually worth something. Guys like Burrow and Williams become truly elite assets

Chris simms has been SCARY accurate at predicting busts at qb. Justin fields, trey lance, sam darnold, josh rosen, dwayne haskins, (he predicted trevorbis good but way overrated out of college) just to name a few. Now hes as confident as ever predicting drake maye to be a bust. Match that with the fact hes going to a trash team and trash offense. HARD pass on maye. Ill bet shane 500 bucks, right now, that nix will be better than maye

He was also high on Matt Corrall, Zach Wilson, Kellen Mond. Said Hurts was not a top 50 QB in the league. Also said Stidham is better than Tua. The dude is wrong as often as he is right.

@@mattcampbell568 i said predicting busts. So far his record compared to the dynasty community is not really close. If you avoided drafting the players he was low on over the past 7 years youd be a lot better off than going off the dynasty consensus by a really wide margin

Avoiding Maye unless I'm stuck picking him on the clock - I'd say he drops some value after this season ...he is fairly easy to bet against with his mech issues and with that offense
