Hi Anthony, while i was very aware how much you love Phil Elverum/ The Microphones/ Mt Eerie…. for some reason i just now realized the song island record behind your melon head, that record is by far my favorite out of any of his projects. i do not think it is the best by any means but it was just the first one i ever heard from him and i fell in love with him since, if you’ve never heard any of phil’s work i HIGHLY recommend it!

I know their music isn't recent but I wanted to ask if you could review any albums or EPs from the band "ROAR". I personally think their music is really underrated and even though they've got some really popular songs, most of their music is HEAVILY underrated and I'd suggest listening to either EPs or one of their albums.

hard disagree on the Dua lipa song being the weakest. This to me is instantly more gripping and groovy than both Houdini and especially training season. In my opinion her best track since physical.

@@iangarcia1585 i like houdini a lot, but it just doesn’t have the same intensity that illusion has. personally like her music the best when it sounds confident, overly euphoric and still somewhat hypnotic. houdini is more subtle and just doesn’t feel like a “smash hit”.

I'm glad I wasn't alone in my disappointment of Dua Lipa's Illusion. Houdini is still my favorite single from Radical Optimism's album cycle, but Training Season was another banger. When Illusion played on Tidal (I didn't even look at my phone screen to see the song title), I was like, "Have I heard this Dua Lipa song before?" which is already not a good sign. I would say Illusion is easily weaker than Dance the Night and reminds me of material on Dua Lipa more than I am reminded of material off of Future Nostalgia. Oh, well-- each single or promo track from an album cycle can't be winners.
