Never thought I could relate to Drake this much. I'm a male SA victim, it happened way back when I was 12. And he couldn't have explained it better. I don't remember much of my childhood and turn myself into an alcoholic just to forget the pain. I was able to change and take my life back but not all the SA victims get to live to tell their stories. Enviando mucho cariño a Drake, nuestro gringo mas mexicano. Latino America loves you bro.

@Effy181 I am ADAMANT about this. There are so many reasons why men don't speak up, and I truly believe one of those reasons is that many people are gonna be like "well you're a man, so how could it happen to you?" Especially in this case when both parties were the same gender. And I've heard that men have higher suicide rates, and I truly believe most of it is based on things like this, unfortunately.

@@oliviaricker3042 well, I told my mom and my sisters, told them what happened and that I tried to kill myself 3 times. They took it as "you're just an alcoholic that only think about alcohol". That was my turning point. Besides then, I've only mention what happened to me here lol. But people think men can't be SA and that sucks.

"I know i was wrong, but i'm gonna make it right", a simple but awesome statement that people can learn from. We live in a world where no one ever wants to admit when they're wrong, they double down, pass blame. Admitting wrong and learning from it, trying to do better or be better, thats the way it needs to be. Much respect for this song.

Underage girls can and do lie about their age to pursue adults, and I think there should be some recourse for that, if in fact it's on the record that they lied. When I was 19, had it not been for my then gf's mother asking me how old I was, did I know how old she was, and me responding 16, I could have been in trouble! Her mom told me this wasn't the first time she did this, that she was a pathological liar, and she was screwing older boys at school. It was a big kick in the nuts and scared me to death.

We latinos are grateful people and never forget someone who gave us happiness. We can proudly say now that we never abandoned Drake bell the way some of american fans did, and still they are clicking on the same media that difamated Drake Bell, but that same media never reported on his abuser case the way they should. #JusticeForDrakeBell I hope the attacks from americans will come to a halt, but if they keep attacking him, Drake won't be alone, because we Mexicans and all Latin-American fans will be there to defend him.

Man. As a csa survivor, this song hits so unbelievably close to home. Coming to terms not just with what happened to us but the things we've done ourselves is such a painful but necessary journey; I've lost so many years of my life after the abuse ended just working through it. I've been working with at-risk youth for a few years now and no matter how hard it gets seeing myself in them, showing them they can come out of it stronger has been everything to me. You sharing your story and showing countless others they're not alone can make all the difference in a young person's life. Wishing you nothing but the best

The line “No one knocks at my door” hits hard. I’ve known the kind of people that are around when times are fun for them, but disappear like a dang ghost when you need some kind of help or support. They feel you’re good enough to cover their meal at a restaurant, or to come to their birthday party to bring gifts, or to come over to hang out with them when they’re feeling low, but when you need something, suddenly they can’t be bothered (and furthermore, according to them, you’re selfish for wanting the same courtesy you gave them). I knew someone who thought it was perfectly fine for her to blow off appointments she made with me without warning or explanation the second something else came up, leaving me waiting by the door for a car that wasn’t going to show up. It hurts to have someone treat you like some random chore to be shrugged off.

To anyone saying it's "weird" or "scummy" to release this song after the docuseries, or it's some kind of attempt at "positive PR", quiet on set was the first time he's ever publicly talked about what he's been basically keeping for 20 years, and the positive PR thing??? So stupid to say that, survivors own their trauma and can do whatever the hell they want to do with their story, turn it into art, turn it into music, or books, or anything, you can't tell people how to own their trauma or how to properly be a victim.

I thought because the song goes through the highlights of his life and obviously drake and Josh is a big highlight of his life but I also thought the same as you why does Drake Bell seems so bound of that show same thing with Josh, Drake seemed to always defend Josh and talk highly of him even though Josh threw him under the bus and in Drake’s recent interviews he can’t talk about Josh without tearing up he seems like he really think of Josh as a real brother. Now after watching the documentary I get why he feels this way towards Drake and Josh and Josh as a person because the show and Josh helped him forget about the trauma even if Josh didn’t know at the time, he was/is a special person for Drake. Dear Drake...maybe you don't read this message, but I couldn't not write to you. Excuse me for my writing, my English is not very good so I use Google translator (I wish my English was half as good as you speak Spanish 😅) I saw your documentary and the interview with Jordi Rosado...and I would like to express my deepest admiration for you, I am crying as I write this to you. But they are not tears of "oh what a sad story" but really they are tears of "oh God, what a brave and strong guy"... because I could never imagine that while you accompanied my adolescence, you made me laugh and with your show I escaped. of my reality and you helped me forget when your adolescence was being corrupted😔Which makes me admire you even more, because while you were fighting with a monster, you were making thousands of us laugh, without a doubt you are a great professional and totally resilient, because from your darkness you sent us light!!✨️ Thank you for sharing your story, your art and your strength with us. I tell you that when my daughter, when she was 3 years old, went to heaven... my life was in darkness for a long time, even today there are days when loneliness and darkness stalk me, but I do not give them the power to attack me. So when darkness stalks you, I'm sure you will know how to fight to show it that it has no power over you. You know why? because we also fight for them, for our children, to show them that although our history has its moments of darkness, we are not that, we are what we built with what happened to us. That's why I'm sure your son will be very proud of his dad, not only because you tell your truth but because you had and continue to have the courage to improve yourself every day.🙌 Drake, I also want you to know that you are not alone, it is not just 5 people on your side, like in that trial...now you have millions of people who are with you, not only in Mexico, but also the rest of Latin America are with you. 🫂 And even if they wanted to silence you, show them that your voice is stronger and more powerful 💪🗣 From the depths of my heart I wish you immense happiness in your life, may you have a prosperous life, full of light and love 🤗 May you have greater happiness than the one that was stolen from you. You will be present in my prayers, may God bless you and your family. From Argentina I send you a big hug for the teenage Drake and the adult Drake, I send you a lot of light and love to both 🫂✨️I have no doubt that now every time I see "Drake and Josh" or listen to one of your songs, it will have a new meaning for me 🥲 God give a long life to our beloved Jefferson Gutierritos so that he continues to make us laugh 😋 I love you Drake Campana, and I hope you continue giving us your music, which undoubtedly helps us heal our souls 💜 ✉️ PS... I hope you can write a book and a song for your son, that would be a great finishing touch to your life!! Oh and I will also dedicate that song to my daughter 👼🌈

I pray he has a strong enough comeback to help advocate for proper therapy for abused children. There’s a point where a child is a victim and they can be helped, then there’s a point where they become an abusing adult and no one wants to help them, which is understandable. But us as a society truly fail the child victims and don’t help them before they become monsters, or live a life full of depression.

Drake admitting the humilating and traumatic experiences was tough and courageous. But what's more courageous is that he admits he isn't perfect, made a lot of mistakes, and wants to make up for them. It takes a lot of humility to admit your faults, and that your past victimization doesn't exonerate or excuse your faults.

@@no.1spidey-fan182way to victim blame... Not unlike all those people who stood by the side of his abuser. Sometimes the people we have a great experience with have done horrible things to others. Besides, it is rare but more common than one would think that the abused end up abusing. We weren't there. He lost his case. Always believe the victim first. They might be lying but you always believe the victim first or else we continue to make it impossible for victims to go get help out of fear of no one believing them. Just like a criminal is innocent until proven guilty, a person who claims abuse is telling the truth until proven otherwise.

“I know I was wronged, but I’m gonna make it right. I know I’ve done wrong, but I’m BOUND to make it right.” Beautiful view on picking up and carrying on from trauma, even if it takes years. And his taking accountability for his own actions in the same breath, saying he’s doing everything he can to make up for the pain he caused other people, without simply blaming his mistakes on his own trauma and leaving it at that. This is some powerful imagery. Thank you for sharing, Drake ❤

For the record Drake Bell has been going to Mexico ever since 2008 long before he was difamated and cancelled by americans. Mexican people are very noble, kind and hearwarming and they are loyal to foreigners who appreciate our culture and the beauty of our country. Drake bell was at first a friend of Mexico and now many of us see him as a Mexican so we are loyal to him and supportive. Right now we are very protective of him and some of us resent the way that many americans abandoned him but now that the truth is out now some want to pretend they were always there. Why couldn't americans love one of their own, but it was foreign countries who lend him and hand and allowed him to speak about the case while in USA people just cancelled him? I'm not talking you but honestly americans should travel more because Mexico, Korea, Malasya, Turkey have many things that are more advanced than in the states and one of them is not being judgemental and not canceling people.

@@parareefaelias656 I see where you are coming from. As an American, I can tell you that people here will condemn a person at the drop of a hat, because we are a bitter country. Not all of us are like that, but over the last few years I've grown too tired to hate people anymore. There are a few that I know I will never like, but I'm sick of jumping on a hateful bandwagon just to find out that I'm the asshole who helped push someone in a dark hole. By the time allegations against Drake were in the media, I was already emotionally burnt, and couldn't hate him, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't laugh at jokes at the time. I didn't help anything. I'm tired of being bitter. If I could apologize to him in person I would. Actually, I would thank him. I didn't suffer the same kind of abuse growing up, and to no where near the same degree, but I have male friends who unfortunately experienced some similar things, and they struggle with it so much, to this day. I'd thank him on behalf of the men in my life who have suffered in silence, that he has shared things that are so vulnerable. They can't speak up, but he did. I want him to know that means something bigger than him.
