Yeah but it’s not as fun. The original MW3 had giant city battles, explosions everywhere, a manhunt that spanned from India to Africa, to Europe, and finally a final mission that ended with you bulldozing through Makarov’s army as you plan to ice the man. It was the most bad ass finale one could ask for. The new had none of that escalation that made the series work.
@Gen_ShadowCompany_203Ай бұрын
The new story is boring because nothing really happens aside from having your generic bad guy doing something mild compared to other conflicts that's happened in Call of Duty. Alongside that, you get drama from the characters all because of the mild conflicts. They fight Hadir for stealing the gas and joining Al-Qatala to take down Barkov; Shadow Company betrays Los Vaqueros and Ghost and Soap over three fucking missiles and Hassan, which they had before letting him go; and then 141 hating Shepherd for being a dumbass in the last game while on the hunt for Makarov. So, here's the deal with Russia’s slow roll in Ukraine. Their military doctrine is all about hitting strategic targets and keeping civilian casualties to a minimum. They’re not going for the shock and awe approach, ya know? Russia is super careful, aiming at military spots, not just bombing everything in sight. This takes time. Saving civilians is a biggie for them. They advance slowly to avoid hurting innocent folks. Russia sees NATO in Ukraine like the US would see Russian bases in Texas. Freak-out levels would be off the charts, and the US would probably react hardcore. US tactics go big, go fast, and collateral damage happens. Russian tactics are slow and steady, keeping civilians safe. Russia’s playing the long game, balancing military goals and keeping non-combatants safe, making the whole thing drag on

Tbh, I think it’s very unlikely either side would be able to easily get air vehicles into their opponent’s backyard. Not to mention landing in Alabama, which would essentially be a self deletion mission. Russia (in my opinion) would likely ally with China since they aren’t necessarily on good terms with the US either. China currently has hypersonic missiles, which unless there has been new developments I have not heard of, the US has no effective defense against as of yet (to be fair the Us military is likely not showing all their cards for security reasons). If this still is the case, China (or Russia since I think they too have at least one hypersonic missile) could IN THEORY (and very unlikely to occur) hit the US with one or more that contains some sort of nuclear warhead or EMP (not sure if they’re the same necessarily so I’m gonna keep the separate for right now). But to invade the US? Very unlikely imo. They’d probably use the chance to gain more ground in the pacific (like taking Taiwan) and/or Ukraine. There’s no reason good enough to invade the US that I can think of. Plus you have NATO right at Russia’s doorstep, so good luck even trying to get NEAR the Us.

I can see them supplying Russia with weapons and equipment but that’s about it. However in the context of the game, China might do what you said but they wouldn’t risk the lives of their troops unless the mainland or Special Administrative Regions (HK, Taiwan, and Macau) come under attack.

The Ural was an asset carried over from CoD4 I believe, they were probably too lazy to make a different model. As for the BTR...idk. They probably thought it looked cooler. Maybe it could be justified by saying they captured an airfield already.

I've never played this before, so this makes no sense to me. How is Russia capable of invading America? America outclasses it by an order of magnitude, has no fleet, and then there is the elephant NATO, which stands between Moscow and Washington. Does this make more sense in the game?
@DomWeaselАй бұрын
It makes even less sense in game because Russia has just been through a long, bloody civil war. Yet somehow, five years later they have a fleet on a par with the USA; something the Soviet Union never had. For how impossible this is, in real life China's military isn't projected to be equal to the USA's until 2060 at the earliest.

Yes, invading America so easily is cartoony in retrospect. However, as an eleven year old when MW2 came out in 2009, this scared me to death. The voice acting was top tier in this game. “THEY’RE EVERYWHERE!!!” still sends the chills down my spine.

They really wanted to justify Russia being able to invade the East Coast but couldn't provide an explanation for how the entire Russian navy could sail past Iceland and the UK without being seen. I mean, physically seen by any of the hundreds of commercial vessels sailing in those waters. At least Red Dawn worked hard to come up with a semi-plausible scenario for the USSR to invade.

Maybe if they have cloaking tech. But that would required refueling mid air while transporting the supplies and soldiers.... So tbey need a continental aircraft that can reach the US coast without refueling. Second, a cloaking device to mask the vehicle until they reach the US state to where they plan to land. Third, make sure they have numerous of this aircraft, otherwise...
