THANK YOU ZO SO MUCH FOR SPEAKING UP FOR WILL!! I have said to people that...for a black man to command the attention of the WORLD on a WORLDWIDE STAGE...to decide to UTILIZE that privilege & opportunity to SINGLE OUT A BLACK WOMAN AND HER APPEARANCE IN A NEGATIVE WAY...ON A WORLDWIDE STAGE FOR A LAUGH, IS THE REAL SHAME!!! Had the FIRST of the two wrongs never happened...the SECOND wrong would've never happened. INSULTING a WOMAN on a WORLDWIDE STAGE for a laugh at HER expense is not ok. Yep, I said it.

All I was saying was his whole career he didn't really do anything he pretty much stayed quiet and now he finally snapped and now he's a villian. The problem is his actions were piss poor on very many levels: 1. He allowed someone to pull him out if character 2. He literally assaulted a man who was doing his job…. Being funny cracking jokes. 3. He laughed at the joke…. If it weren’t for the “trigger” of possibly look of Jadas face he wouldn’t have KEPT laughing 4. He would not have done that if it were Dave Chapelle or Kevin Hart or even a white host. 5. What he did was an embarrassment to the black + Male community tbh 6. He allowed his BIGGEST moment ever, one that was a long time coming - to literally be taken away in a second by a joke nonetheless…. One that wasn’t even that hilarious. 6 He ain’t do it for Jada let’s get that straight lol that slap was way more than that. 7. She HUMILIATED Will and continues to crush and belittle Will! Like what?!? That’s no wife! I don’t get why a lady, a Wife, would allow(try not to stop him in any way) her Husband, her man to do something like that….. that’s not protecting - they humiliated each other for the possibility generations.

Black women have had a CENTURIES battle with being comfortable with their hair. To make a joke like that was messed up. Period. Not only because of how we're treated based on have 4C hair vs 3A hair. Having to straighten out hair to assimilate to European standards just to get a job... To fight for saying the hair that grows our of hair IS good enough and it's not inappropriate or any of bs thing people say about our hair but also because this woman has openly said how she feels about having alopecia. I side with Will Smith 1,000% on this. I don't care. To make that joke in front of all those white people ... as if it's okay. Hell if a black man can do it so can we. If Chris didn't write the joke and it's true that some white woman wrote the joke for him to say... he didn't have to say it and whoever actually wrote that joke needs to be held accountable too. I'm not saying any joke regarding a black woman who has had a struggle with this disease.

Libras have a hard time letting people go especially when it’s a deep seated love. (Referring to jayda) Will in my eyes did nothing wrong I feel like social media has put people in this phase where they feel they can talk reckless with no consequences. Every action has a reaction, you can speak/say whatever you want but don’t be surprised how said person chooses to react. Jada has spoke about her hair loss for years so I’m not seeing how he didn’t know. Lastly who gaf what the yt people think. I’ll be happy when we realize they aren’t the standard they show their ass constantly prime example Jan 6 2021. Their lineage is full of poachers, slave master, abusers, gentrifiers, and they don’t even bath correctly so again why gaf what they think Edit: if you got a problem with me mentioning zodiac signs I really dgaf and you can take that up with your sky daddy ☺️

Talk About What Really Happened… I’m not one to comment on celebrity stuff because honestly I’m focused on other things. I also don’t comment on “bandwagon” things that everyone has a comment about. But the Smith-Rock incident is different for me. I didn’t see one celebrity slap another. It also had nothing to do with Jaida. I saw historical lessons play out right before my very eyes. I saw one Black man who felt publicly emasculated publicly emasculate another Black man because that’s what we’re taught to do and are expected to do. The reason Will had trouble apologizing was because he had trouble understanding the deep place all the rage came from. All day long I have heard superficial debates about if the joke was worth that reaction, if it was a slap or punch, or if Will would have done that to a bigger or stronger man. I think all that is irrelevant. I put money on the belief that if any white comedian would have made the exact same joke, Will may had stewed, and frowned, and cursed under his breath, but he would not have left that seat and he would not have yelled and cursed. Chris Rock, a Black man, was the path of least resistance. The reaction of the comedian being slapped, the audience, and the Academy would have been dramatically different if Will Smith had slapped a white comedian…and his apology would have likely been swifter and bigger because the consequences would have been swifter and bigger. This was just another case of Black on Black violence that gets ignored all day everyday. Sad but true. Today, Black people are sensitive to how we are treated by other races (as we should be), but we seem to be oblivious to what we do one another and how we too often play right into the stereotypes that we do despise. I hope that when Will and Chris do talk about the incident publicly that they have a real conversation about these things I’m speaking on instead of publicist-prepared, lawyer-reviewed, career-preserving statements intended to pacify instead of heal.

Exactly what I was saying! People will not admit it but if that man was a white host Will wouldn’t have done that at all…he did it because he felt comfortable not only with it being Chris but also another black man.

“and how we too often play right into the stereotypes that we do despise” THISSS!!! The angry black man/woman persona that so many other races (sadly) see black people as, Will played right into it! @lettsreactfan13982 жыл бұрын
I see it differently I see a black man angry because another black man KNEW better than to tell that joke in front of an audience that had no clue and it was wrong of course he wouldn't slap a white man because its expected and consequences would have been different everyone wants to Analyze everything except how black women are never protected and we are the joke Chris should have brought light to the alopecia situation and did it differently and he disrespected her before at the same awards that they boycotted
