At that point in the story, the second some chump got a free pass for having covid I'd have been like "Hey guys, uhh I got covid and like uhh I'm stuck at home" shame too cause he coulda really sold it "working" at home. Unfortunately you just gotta play the game, him saying it so late and in a mocking tone got him kicked. Classic is dogshit anyways so no loss, let those losers wallow in an outdated version game that has zero challenge.

I got covid this year, worse i had felt in a long time. However the best part about it was playing a ton of wow over 2 weeks. Pretty stupid guild rule lol. Its not a make a wish program type thing for 99% of people who get it

Yep me and my girlfriend had Covid and it was like a 2 week vacation but her father had to be placed on a vent and barely made it when he had it. If you’re not dying then you don’t deserve more special treatment than you’re already getting being able to sit at home and play games.

As a fellow rogue i agree. Nobody should have advantages because they have COVID. Make a poll or have some random choosing site on and decide which goes first if you don't have better ranking options.

Solidarity is nice but if no rogues on second “charity run” and 10 players are getting carried why not make it 11 and that one rogue (who has showed up for the other charity runs btw) can gear up and join future charity runs? Like the patience of that guy doesn’t matter? Skip one of the other recruit rogues... that’s the fair thing to do, he gets the spot of the heart cowl guy for that one run and prob solved.

I died a few times on HC N'zoth one day, had quite a rough day and I wasn't even in the mood to raid, but I went off anyway, since "duty called" and "team had to be prepared for SL" (and might I add, nowhere in this was said anything about going for CE or something). As I didn't touch BfA since 8.0 christmass week (school and general burnout by mythic G'huun) I was still doing a catch up, essences, corruption, pure ilvl, back etc., all the good stuff. I had a talk with RL, to "wake up" after that night, I didn't even argue with him, I had better things to do than to argue with RL at 11:30 PM (like sleeping). Next raid night, I found out I was "sitting on a bench", because he wanted to rotate ppl on farm bosses. I was totally fine with it and I didn't smell anything wrong. Next day, he announced guild HC runs were over, than I was benched 2 more weeks, than a guy didn't show up and I came in, we had a talk about "my very big gear problem", next raid I was benched and the next raid I found out I was removed from the raid team without one fucking word. A guy being completly left to rot for his "generosity" is completly believable story and he did not do anything wrong.

Chaoslance yea there’s definitely big management problems there, a guild can easily have some bosses marked as on farm and bring recruits to gear them up fast, my guild did it on mythic with first 4 bosses, core raiders would just sit out (those who did not need the items or just need minor upgrades) and that’s when you are locked out for the week on heroic there is no such problem, a core raider sitting out and coming back can still get that boss they skipped later on. More important than the gear you put the recruit to the test on how they follow commands and perform mechanics, if that is solid gear comes in easy.. Sry to hear that hopefully u find a better run guild :)

@@chaoslance4959 That's the sad truth, mythic raiders are usually very meh. I've never been into a mythic raiding group because my pc is kinda bad and my home situation doesn't really allow me to upgrade it, but i can say i have alot of friends who do and they tell me horror stories about their RLs and guild all the time. I think mythic raiding isn't worth it if you don't have a closed group of friends who also have fun meanwhile. That's just my opinion.

You are 100% right, I ignored my conscience, telling myself they dont realize that even used in a "non-derogatory" way its still outright racist. and I'm only able to do that due to privilege i am fully aware, I will not be making the same mistake, and again, i fully accept any and all guilt on that matter.

I look for it. Different people have different guild types they like. It is very much "ok" to stay with the guild, if they are not your type of group you don't need to treat them like lepers.

@@ColCoal i mean....we arent talking about people who are "rude for bants" we are talking about people using racial slurs casually, so no i think this falls out of "guild types" i was just wanting anything after my previous guild broke up and ignored a BIG flaw that i can only ignore again, due to my privilege of never having that word used as a slur against people who look like me. If you seek out people like that then i think you prolly should reflect on why you do that, like i had to reflect on why i stayed.

I do get mad, like when a marxist says that they need to kill everyone who owns property, but do I take it out on them? No, you pull back for awhile and get a hold of your emotions. The problem isn't the words you are hearing. You shouldn't try to control other people's words and ideas. You need to try to present arguments that will make them change their own ideas, and the only way to do that is to take control of yourself before you expect to help others.

Just quest to max and find a guild. Dungeons are fun but there are some complete cocks in the pug world. It doesn't really improve for m+, so get a guild.

Depends on if they game on a laptop or not. Rest is important, but at some point, it is a difference between doing nothing and suffering, or trying to entertain yourself and suffering. Reading and video games are what got me through a lot of my more serious illnesses, but that was because I could do those things in bed. RIP laptop, you are sorely missed
