It would be a dream come true if SBI could detect such thing. Truth is we don't have a system that can detect these kind of cheating unfortunately. That's why very little people get banned.

SBI need to fix this, its unfair for the players who grind hard.

Great job Mogdone! Thank you for talking about and showing this. Like you said, bots are unfortunatelly a reality of many online games, but in my opinion it is a reason why developers should fight against it even harder. These bots are unfair advantage over normal players, but also very annoying, especially gathering bots in blue or yellow zones where you encounter them everywhere, they ruin low tier material economy. Maybe one of the solution for SBI would be to have a team of people playing the game and just checking this kind of characters if they are potentially bots, in both, lethal and non lethal zones. Maybe even go to the black zones in gucci 8.4 set as a bait, and wait for gankers to show up "out of nowhere", or doing similar thing you did in your live stream. That would be fun :D I imagine a shock the cheating gankers would be in, after they were informed that not only they got their loot taken away but also their accounts by this "SBI police" :)

You can also ban any character who stays in a certain area in a red/black zones that has a low time played for more then say, five minutes.

I think it is not a bot, but a players 2nd account that he watches on his second screan or laptop or mobile device. If u register each time with a different E-mail it is impossible to ban any of "your" accounts especially when the person is using VPNs.

They are on redzone thought, i noticed it every time i deliver on caerleon, i saw two naked person riding in the ox always in the entrance then there's the groups running into that entrance, now i know thanks to you, that the main reason why they know when to gank is because of that informer naked person riding ox haha

Shouldn't they be able to access the Bot account and see who the bot is notifying? At the very least, perma-ban that account and all of its alts. Or check the IP etc of the bot and kick the reported account with the same IP etc. I hate fishing bots. They're in some of the prime spots all day, or they patrol and crowd in on nodes that I'm fishing...

Alot of ppp would refuse that offer because then they would be reportrd for RMT.

They should make requirements to go in RZ/BZ like maybe RZ 3M fame (non tome) and BZ 5M or something, so it would be not worth it to create bot account and not too much for real players.

Sadly, we all know that red and black zones are filled with bots. Pretty much most big guilds and ganking groups use them.

They should ban anyone with the same IP address as the bot. That’s a pretty easy way to see who created it.

I think the party member first time get warning but second time should get banned the whole party that will be fair

some times you can be attacked by a bots that is a hole army and will attack players going throw the gates . also a lit of them in the AC .

doesn't having a 2nd acc on your separate laptop/mobile work as a gank scout? you dont need to pay a person for that and its technically not a bot. E: did not know that was bannable lol.

Your trading test is invalid. Though you have offered and accepted the trade it is not necessary that the other person has opened the trade menu.

can sbi have devs or players go invisible and spectate these players for a while then bait the bot with a immortal dev account that can 1 shot anyone. and kill all the gankers that come and ban them

They can just track the IP address. I'm sure the person used same WiFi connection for both devices. The person who created the bot should be banned not the whole party. This kind of thing happens constantly in red zones. And tons of gathering/fishing bots.

i just got my very first grizzly bear mount and got gank 5 minutes later by 30 people for transporting. so im here watching cause its sad.. lol

Some game companies would track these bots for awhile to gather information to see the interactions. From there would apply a punishment to all players involved. Will SBI do this, who know? The bottom line it is an unfair advantage that they are gaining and may prevent growth of AO, which will hurt SBI's profits.

bz is also full of speed hackers that can run faster on foot than me on any fast mount and i have reported a lot of them but sbi just doesn't care and let's them play

I enjoy flag up and killing bot so much. I dont care people kill me, im just use flat 4 and go out killing them if im bored. Cant even level up my gathering because of them.

This do§ esn't prove that the oxą wasnt another player scouting to see if people going by are wearing somethiorthorthopedic ganking. Its likely an alt but you can't prove its multiboxing. Such is the dilemma of these situations. I have 2 laptops for example but i could run a vpn and a 2nd account easily. Someone could also have 2 monitors and run albion in window mode. This is always going to be indistinguishable from family members or friends playing at the same location. Say if i had a little brother who wasnt that competent i could have him scout and he would probably look like a bot the more incompetent the more like a bot he would look like. The only way to find one of them out would be to infiltrate their guild or maybe even their friend group and take video of them admitting to it. Thats a pretty arduous task. Also accusing someone of being a bot that can inspect a player and differentiate between different equipped items and alert players of probable transport targets is like accusing someone of being a skilled programmer that spends their life making albion online easy. Its 99% of the time going to be the simpler option of someone running 2 accounts. But the proof is always going to be the hardest part there just never will be a way to say this person and this person are the same player without an admission of guilt.

it's a hard thing to tackle, i mean it's possible that not everyone in the party knew that they were using a bot, the leader might just have said they hired a scout or something, and if so i don't think they should be perma banned, if they do it knowingly sure, but it's hard to know for sure.

The reason they cannot ban all the bots is because the game itself is a bot. Took me all about three days to figure that one out with the auction house ganker, farmers. the reason they get upset about the auction house bots is because it shows the power of those bots in real life. The game wouldn’t work if it was not a bot🤔🤭 and if you think SBI is not running their own bots, both to cushion the numbers of the game as well as the cash flow of their game then I am sorry to say you are in the dark. The game is designed to force you to have to spend money. And then steal your money. Full loot game? Not hard to figure out.
