It is a part of the culture, But it is not legal for a woman to marry more than one husband in Ghana, Mali etc. However, in some countries Polyandry, when a woman marries more than one husband is legal in some places in South America in Asia etc. I watched a video made near the Amazon in Brazil. The people were Native Indians. Polyandry is practiced. Women are expected to have more than one husband. All of the houses belong to the women. The lady had 3 husbands. One was a fisherman, 1 was a hunter, one had a small shop. After work, whichever husband gets to his wife's house first, will sleep there that night. The other 2 husbands have to go to their Momma House.

When they tell u u r not number one, believe them. And if they tell u they only have one mother believe them that it means u r not priority. We all have one mother and we r to leave that one mother to become one with our spouse but they will never uphold that. What they forget is they have only one true love and they fool around and lose that one. And when a mom’s days become numbered, they will be looking for u to be by their side. We are talking about priorities here. @misstrudyy has not said anything about dishonoring or not being respectful. She’s talking about priorities. Your spouse and children are number 1 priority, everyone else comes after. Just like mom prioritizes her husband and kids, when u grow, u prioritize ur husband/wife and kids.

The church also needs to bring this up in premarital counseling. I am a mom to 1 son and he better consider his wife #1 priority. He honors me and I am grateful to God for that.
