Dramatic Dashcam footage shows Motorway crash between BMW and Jaguar

This happened on the M4 near Swindon, England.
Jaguar F Type gets side swiped by BMW grand tourer after the driver of the BMW was unwell, both drivers had no serious injuries but went to get checked out at hospital.
Thank you to the 2 guys who stopped to help get the driver out

I helped stopped on the hard shoulder and helped out at an accident once. First thing the traffic police said was "who's the driver of the lorry," I am I said, and what's your involvement in this. Typical finger pointing, if in doubt blame the trucker,

Regardless of the accident, well done for the people that stopped and helped, it could have been much worse. nice to see good people still out there.

I don't. But been at many incident scenes and most people drive on or do nothing, sadly people don't want to get involved now, rather film it on there phones 😢

I was surprised how many people drove past, lucky the 2 guys in the van stopped to help me get the driver out. 😁

It looks like the beemer had a loose wheel which caused it to veer into the path of the jag although the jag driver was a bit slow in realising this.

@@davidb3172 the wheel came off in the collision, the driver of the beemer was elderly and unwell which was why he veered into the middle lane.

BMW driver not concentrating, you would notice & correct your positioning if you were looking at the road ...poss on phone...wheel came off on impact, if you notice they didn't even adjust prior to drifting in to other lane.

Watch at 1/4 speed and blow up image it looks like there’s a beginning of wheel wobble on front offside wheel, possibly immediately prior to wheel coming off.

@@hotpotato4027 no law stating that you have to move over to the middle lane if someone is stopped on the hard shoulder unless signs on overhead gantry tell you lane is closed red ❌ or orange arrow telling you to move over

The Jag had ample time to brake, he didn’t apply the brakes at all (at the point of, or before) impact. Irrespective of why the BMW drifted into the centre lane (or first overtaking lane) the Jag driver was not driving with due care and attention. The Van in the second overtaking lane, was also guilty of the same offence. The BMW convertible was too close behind the Jag. This video demonstrates the poor driving standards in the U.K.
