All those wondering why firefighting boats not aiming directly on fire - Its nitric acid burning!! "Fire Fighting Procedures: Approach fire from upwind to avoid hazardous vapors & toxic decomposition products. Use flooding quantities of water as spray or fog. The ship will sink if you dump water on board. They do that so the wind carries the water onto the ship The strong winds due to the monsoon season makes it difficult. They are spraying other parts of the ship to contain the fire and cool the rest of the ship

There were harmful gases that could burn eyes and skin so they couldn't get too close. Also there's a cyclone passing through there rn, so the water doesn't hit straight because of the winds. They put it out 2 days ago though.

There's a cyclone passing through the area right now, so it's hard to get the water to spray straight with the harsh winds. Also, the chemicals are leaking harmful gases and they can't get too close. They're doing what they can little by little.

Because it contains 25 tons of high concentrations of nitric acid and other highly concentrated chemicals that react with water. Therefore, they cool the air particles drawn by the water towards the fire according to the direction of the wind over a calculated period of time. Combustion exhaust gases cannot be used for this purpose as they require a large quantity. They are right 👍
