I basically use everything this guy uses except i dont use a MagBox, i use an octabox and regular softbox sometimes and im a Canon shooter . And oddly enough i use the 24-105mm for about 95% of my portraits. I initially started out though using an 85mm and sometimes the 50mm because thats what everyone says "you need to shoot portraits." Although it seems most people use the 24-70mm i honestly prefer the 24-105mm because I'd much rather have that extra zoom range over a wider aperture. Not every photo needs to have a blown out background haha and having that extra zoom length has come more in handy than anything. I guess it just depends on what kind of portraits youre doing. As for lighting the AD200's are by far the greatest affordable OCF of all time. There are endless possibilities with them. Other than that i use a tripod sometimes, have a battery grip (definitely worth every penny) and i have the round head and round head accessory kit for the AD200s (also worth the money if youre not already using Magmod products) Sounds like alot of gear but its actually not and is easier to travel with than youd think. Although i do not have an assistant like this guy or some other photographers. Its a bit more work on my part but i like it
