Thank you for this. I’m just about to make a proper start on my MSc dissertation in urban planning. I did my undergraduate 15 years ago and struggle with critical writing and have really struggled to get back into it. I do my course part time around full time work too so it’s a real struggle! I will re watch this and make some proper notes!

my best advice would be to just START - I know it's hard to begin with but if you just begin, it will start the ball rolling and you honestly won't want to stop! good luck

I have 30 days to research and write my dissertation and I’ve just been procrastinating and feeling so stressed on how to structure my literature review out. I’m unsure if my topic is too broad or too narrow.. it’s mental health within south Asians within the UK. Not sure if I should narrow it down because the word count is 8K words. Don’t know if I’ll be able to do it 😢

My dissertation is a literature desk-based diso so I’m finding it hard how to write it because I know I’m suppose to use existing data out there for my methods and findings however, how do I talk about it? Since it’s not my own research how do I talk about the findings? Like if I use a KZfaq clip or a panorama on experiences of mental within south Asian communities what themes should I look for in order to identify gaps within literature? Really struggling. For e.g, The literature acknowledges stigma but I wanted to speak about stigma within my findings too. Can I still do this or does this not answer my question. I just want to focus on experiences of mental health within SA cultures.
