I’ve had morpheus (did nothing and hurt like hell!), ultherapy (did tighten my neck a little) and thread lifts (lasted 4 months). He’s absolutely right. Only a facelift will tighten the face, nothing else, at least not yet. I wasted a lot of money and now will spend it on a vertical restore

I worked at a med spa and the nurse (new injector) swore pdo threads would work for my chin fat area, but it did absolutely nothing but wasted my time and money. It’s soooo many new injectors out there and people are looking scary.

Funny, I got the threads done years ago, before I had ever heard of them. The Dr used them around my lip area telling me they'd define my lip line. He had a few left over and was teaching another Dr in the room so he put them in my cheek area. I remember leaving that appointment thinking what a waste, but then I noticed how amazing my lips looked. I had gotten fillers, Botox and everything in between but nothing worked as well as those threads.. and nothing lasted as long either, well over a year. I'm thinking there's a big difference though between what I had done to my lips than a thread lift for the face (I noticed nothing with the "few" threads that he put in my face) I would absolutely do it again on my lips

As a licensed medical aesthetician I swear by this Dr’s advice and his skin backs up what he says. I’m 49 and I’ve never had Botox, filler or a facelift but I’ve sworn by good skincare for the past almost 20 years, and people think I’m 35. I work w a plastic surgeon and he loooooves all of the energy based machines, but I’ve been trying to educate him on good skincare past Skinceuticals. My favorite services are regular microneedling, a water based microdermabrasion and TCA peels plus the use of actives + spf are an absolute must. Thank you again for another banging video :-)))

Is Skinceuticals bad?
@naturalTJ
@naturalTJ 9 ай бұрын
Skinceuticals isn’t bad, but it’s not worth the price for something like CE Ferulic (my opinion). It’s “medical” grade, been around for a while but some of the prices can’t be justified. I use professional grade skincare, but I’ve never bought into Medical grade. When buying a Retinol make sure it’s a product that can’t be exposed to air meaning a pump form vs something in a jar or dropper that you have to open and close. It’s very sensitive to light, heat and air. Some of my favorite professional lines are Circadia skin, Advanced rejuvenating concepts 🥇, Societe (clean and medical line), Hale Cosmecuticals plus many many more. Start low w Retinol .5, and work your way up if that’s your preference. This Dr’s line sounds amazing too, and I do plan to purchase it soon.

Would you say that regular microneedling is more beneficial for the skin than radiofrequency microneedling?
@naturalTJ
@naturalTJ 9 ай бұрын
@@aleksal9132 reg microneedling eliminates the heat (RF) so it’s error free for the most part w the right esthetician. What makes reg microneedling a game changer is adding in growth factors to super charge the anti-aging benefits or some places will add in the PRP. If you do visit a med spa, go with a list of questions because of a lot these Aestheticians/Nurses/Dr’s aren’t as knowledgeable as they should be. I’m big on education which is why I love this channel and I always ensure I empower my clients w knowledge and set reasonable expectations. This Dr’s advice is golden in my opinion, but you can always find 10 more Dr’s that will disagree w him. Don’t ever assume the title of nurse or Dr equates to knowledge. I worked at a Med Spa and the new injector nurse told me PDO threads would help w chin fat, but they did absolutely nothing. They were all about the money so I quit!!! Oh I will add that RF microneedling (Morpheus) can help w subtle chin fat, jowling, acne scars and tightening but the operator needs to be aware of the settings. But if the patient has a laxity issue, only surgery can help that.

Now I’m going to be getting fat transfers under my eyes to help reverse the damage. I don’t even look the same anymore. I was considering a lower bleph to get rid of some of the loose skin, but I’m getting a lower bleph/skin pinch with fat transfers. Glad to see that was on the list. After 11 months of using the Trifecta and seeing amazing improvements in my skin, I had a facelift exactly one month ago (also had an upper & lower blepharoplasty). This is all great, solid advice. I am 48. I've had sporadic filler and als botox between my brows. Those things certainly helped. However, in my late teens, I saw an article about how sun exposure caused the bulk of wrinkles. I started wearing sunscreen before there were good otc sunscreens for the face. A few years after, these products seemed readily available and weren't greasy like sunscreen meant for the body. When others my age were going to tanning beds, I stayed away. I didn't totally shun the sun, but I used sunscreen regularly. It's made a great difference to my skin at this age. It's soft and smooth and not terribly wrinkled. Some of the women I knew who were sun worshipers look much older than their years. Use sunscreen.

The comments section of channels such as this one are filled with people who claim to be (they or their moms) over 45, often well over, and have no wrinkles, don't do anything other than minimum skincare, and everybody is "shocked" to learn their age. You would think that the world is filled with genetically blessed folks... But if they are the majority, where are they? And since they are the majority, they must constitute the norm for what 50, 60 look like. Which means they don't actually look younger... 😆

@@shaynadavidovhansonrealtor I adjusted to tretinoin quite easily. I was able to use it every night since the day I began using it. However, this is not common, most people have to work up slowly to using tretinoin every night. Yes, there was a degree of peeling when I began using it, but it doesn’t last indefinitely, mine lasted two or three months. One way to reduce excessive peeling is to sandwich tretinoin. I cleansed my face with an extremely gentle cleanser, applied moisturizing toner, then a thin layer of a gel based moisturizer. Once it soaked in I applied tretinoin to all areas I mentioned above. Once the tretinoin soaked in I applied a thick night cream. I no longer have to use the sandwich method, I was able to stop sandwiching after about 3 months. I don’t think it’s possible to experience zero peeling, as the purpose of tretinoin involves removing layers of dead skin cells on the surface, but be patient and consistent. Dont be discouraged by the peeling, it will pass. Don’t think because I adapted easily to using tretinoin every night that that is normal, I was fortunate, most people work up to nightly use. Once you’ve been consistent and adapted to tretinoin the payoff is quite extraordinary.

I am very impressed with the doctor but most couldn't afford his services. I'm 66 and have never had special treatments or surgery. Don't use sun screens either. But do use a plethora of concoctions to help my skin and believe me when I tell you the best, fastest, & totally free method to improve your skin is massage, pinching, and tapping. I improved my neck so quickly, my jowls got less noticeable, and Im so excited to see the skin on my hands thicken!!! Still working on my under eyes, my elevens, & my under arms...but all are improving. Blessings to all in the coming new year...🎉

The only way to deal with aging is to accept the inevitable changes it brings. I think good skin care goes a very long way in keeping a more youthful facial appearance. However, what our youth-obsessed culture doesn't seem to understand that aging is more than a wrinkled visage. The whole body ages. When we are observed by others, they see the changes in the way we stand, walk and move. Our faces may be rendered younger in appearance, but it's much more difficult to appear younger in a wholistic way. Therefore, accepting aging is the prudent alternative.

It work for you only because you had a filers previously. When people do filers regularly with time they have more than they need it because filers in reality never absorbs but they don't even realize that they have so much filers on. So when you use heat on your face it melt a little bit of filers and your face looks better because of that. Don't ever do it if you don't have a filers in your face. It happen the same to my friend. She has a filers in her face, for me her face was so full and strange but for her she thought that she need more filers😢 because her face was skinny for her 😢after that she did morpheus and after awhile she became more beautiful because looked more natural when filers melt it,then other friend when she saw her results wanted to try morpheus but she had a natural face without filers and her face basically melt,now she's doing fat transfer.

I'm more than happy with the results of Morpheus. My skin is tightened on the lower part of my face and that's what I was chasing for. And no fillers. Little botox around the eyes and that's it.

I started using Retin A at about 30. This was before doctors realized it helps with wrinkles. I was on it 10 years, by then docs started to notice that people that were using it for ache were not aging. So at age 40 my insurance wouldn’t pay for it. I realized my skin wasn’t aging and wanted to stay on it. Well, it took a few years for Retinoids came out in skin care products. So, i began using those but they just don’t work like original Retin A. But it did help. I’m 64 now and I don’t have jowls, crows feet, or lines on my forehead. Then i had a friend that was an enestion. Sorry can’t figure out how to spell it. She started me on Glycolic acid. That really worked but then hyaloronic came out and i started using that. Along with vitamin c and anything i could get my hands on that would help the aging of my face. For what it’s worth, I don’t look 64 and if i came in to see you for a face lift you’d laugh me out of your office.😂

This was an excellent video and thank you for taking the time to make it. I've gone to two plastic surgeons who both have said i have too much scar tissue for another facelift. In the past, I have had 6 teeth pulled, orthognathic surgery, facelift and 4 jaw surgeries. I now am relying on fillers to help with certain areas of my face for a little lift. I need to learn to accept that they are not going to provide the lift I want, but it's so hard and disappointing. I do use your Trifecta and love it.

I had Morpheus 8 done once. It erased my laugh lines. The person who did it was a plastic surgeon. Done by the appropriate person that knows when to apply heat or how much is critical. I didn’t have more than one because I didn’t need it. It’s a bit painful. Totally dismissing is not cool. Had one session of ultherapy also and it seemed to help. I look much younger than my age according to any people. I have used tretinoid since my 20s and sunscreen. I’ve had five light chemical peels and maybe one or two professional facials. Key : sunscreen and tretinoid or retina A as they called it. Obviously diet and genetics play a role. My mother looks 75 and she’s 90 - never sun tanned and she had an impeccable diet.

I’am 39 years old and I wanted to have a full face lift. So I went to several consultations with very senior plastic surgeons and none of them agreed to operate on me on the grounds that there was no need and that I would return in a few years. Now, on the one hand, I'm happy that this is the case, on the other hand, I'm disappointed because I feel that my face is sagging In the end it was recommended to me to do threads and I did and I am very satisfied. Now I know it's a temporary solution but right now it's what's best for me. So I was a little upset that you underestimated the threads in the face. But I always like to hear and learn new things. I'm so thankful you're speaking out about the energy devices that heat the skin and can potentially cause great fat loss in the face. I just watched your other video on it and it confirmed my own concerns and thoughts. Many years ago I did an at home IPL skin treatment on my face, using a hair removal IPL device. I thought I was decently informed, as I found and used the precise wavelengths used in a professional setting or spa for an "IPL Facial". But, I caused fat loss and hollowing under my eyes, that will never be fixed. I will now never ever use any type of device to heat the skin. So few people know about this and others I've heard say that there's no research on it, so they'll keep doing what they're doing.

And I don't think that best European docs would be worst. You can have 10K lift in Poland, less than that in Czech Republic from top doctor, however I don't think they're excellent, just good enough. If you live in US you can probably go to South America and it will be much cheaper and reputable doctors are everywhere although making thorough research is more difficult.

I have to laugh at the “just doing a neck lift” mistake! That is what I wanted to do about 20 years ago! At the time the specialist advised me to get a chin and cheek, implant, as well as getting my neck lifted. I believed at the time that the specialist just wanted more money. I felt more ugly coming out after the consultation than I did going in! Bottom line I didn’t have anything done at all!

I have 3 questions, 1. I know you said that you don't recommend electrical devices, but what is your opinion on microcurrent? Even if just a temporary improvement, do you feel like there are any advantages or disadvantages to this modality. 2. What are your feelings on micro coring? 3. What are your opinions on LED light therapy and its effect on collagen production, specifically Red?

30:21 One should know that the trifecta product of Dr.Karam costs $ 260 and lasts for 30 days. That is $ 3120 just for skincare in a year ...

You can build similar routine with cheaper products using his skincare advice. He's pushing his products but never claimed that it's the only way to go.

@@Kat-zx1pj Yes I know I just wanted to mention it since he said don't go for the expensive products at that point of the video. His product is probably very good and easy to use but hard to afford on a monthly basis.

I tried tretinoin for over a year. My skin never adjusted. I had to stop. It's not for everyone. I use a Retinal now. It may not be as strong but it's something. I'm trying!

That is great! It is best to use what your skin can tolerate day in and day out then over work your skin with too high concentration.
