Жыл бұрынMy buddy Mark and I set out to explore the further reaches of our own backyard, this time, the Upper Ottawa River. Alas! there was no wind, so it was putt-putt-putt along, and mightily beautiful was the enterprise.

That looks great. I have to give it a try. The 1000 Islands were the busiest I have ever seen. How far from the boat launch to the inlet!

It is a stunningly beautiful area. The ramp at Deep River is excellent (though we found my truck was broken into when we got back). The inlet is only about 6 km from town.

@jackrabbit5047 awesome, so easy up and down on the Torqeedo. Not so awesome about the truck. I have been to the boat launch there, sounds like street parking in town might be a better option.

@@travelbywater9378 I was parked in the big gravel parking lot just up from the ramp, off a town street. They opened my locked Tonneau cover and took my tool box - guess next time I'll leave it empty and just flip up the cover so they can see there is nothing inside.

Nice site. How far up river did you go? Did you put in above Pembroke?

Thanks. We went up from Deep River to Rapides des Joachimes then down to Schyan River.
