I’ve been working with graphite for my flash, but I’ve been considering switching to watercolor lately, this video’s great! I would love to see a similar technique video on using black ink exclusively, how to use different textures and marks to create contrast without losing clarity. Much respect

I BOUGHT THE COURSE - it has 3 x full painting demos from Dan over 8 videos - 1 x Rural demo and 2 x Cityscape demo's of Memphis. While the videography isn't the best and some parts are truncated (i.e. adding figures to the rural scene) the 2 cityscape demos alone make this a reasonable workshop for purchase, given you'll pay $80-$100 for a single cityscape demo at Creative Catalyst. The first demo mentions the outdoor painting of barns and other structures which sadly isn't included, I would liked to have seen. This wasn't the full 3 day experience edited down - it was about 50% of what you'd get at the actual workshop given most of the first day was missing - total video time is approx 2.75 hrs. Dan is a good teacher but this is a little more aimed at the intermediate watercolor artist, beginners may want a bit more guidance.
