We have a super chill video today, everyone. No talking, no music, just me in my happy place drawing. I struggle to listen to music when I draw: I need to be able to zone out and concentrate! So I thought I'd try a video where you're with me in my actual environment! I've captioned some of my thoughts and process ideas if you're interested in reading them. I enjoy all the marker sounds and stuff, but I think it doesn't reach the desired vibe, because of the sorrounding (background and white) noise. Perhaps it can be edited to remove certain frequencies (with compressors and stuff...). And perhaps some music (with reduced volume) will do the trick. But I'm just guessing here off the top of my head, what I would try.... Personally, I enjoy the drawing/marker/painting sounds, preferably with some music and voiceovers are always a treat imo.

Oooh what a lovely page! ❤❤❤ I honestly really enjoy these types of videos as ASMR really helps with my anxiety. But I also enjoy your voiceover videos too! Yum! What a juicy marker video! 😍 Don't know how you managed to achieve a slow-pace-chill-vibe within only 20 minutes, you nifty fox! I certainly burned a couple hundred calories, sweating along with ya! 🤣The result was def worth it and I admire your calm hands. I would've probably flicked those dark markers into the light areas a gazillion times. 😅(And those linework skills!! Geeeez!!) In the end I'm wondering if masking fluid works with alcohol markers, or if they will do some sneaky soaking action and end up beneath the masking fluid areas. 🤔

Thank you SO much for this comment! 🥹 haha, I worried that 20 minutes was going to be way too long and people would get bored! The editing process is so stressful worrying about these things and constantly adding/taking things away to make it as authentic to the process as possible! I’ve never even thought of trying masking fluid before to help with keeping areas clean! I imagine there has to still be a tiny bit of fibre bleed, but it would definitely be better than without? Something I need to test, for sure ❤

@@lornakelleherart Yeah, totally feel the editing vs length video. Honestly, I love long videos, but it seems like I’m the odd one, since most people seem to skip a lot…. While I enjoy a video as a whole thing. 😅 Overall I’d say…. edit the video the way you would enjoy it yourself, so you can attract likeminded people that actually care about your content. But then again, you’re doing the social media thing successfully, so what do I know. 🤣 Neither have I used masking fluid…. It should be tested for sure! (If not, Guache /Acrylic/Ink saves the day!!).
