I've gotta suspect it was something to do with the actual dolphin researcher(s?) who had sex with actual dolphin (the sex wasn't supposed to be part of the research and when people found out they were very much in trouble). I don't remember a lot of details but I know it's a thing that actually happened some decades ago.

Lol, that’s hilarious! It was tradition for us to all go to a restaurant after the final show with our makeup still on. Never played a monkey, but I did play a talking tree. For a different show I had to braid wire into my hair and bend it into weird shapes sticking out of the top of my head - there was no going back to normal hair without a lot of work and a shower, so if I had any errands to run I did them with crazy hair.

Spoilers: The Animorphs end up having to involve David by happenstance because he (long story short) gets his parents taken and house destroyed by mind-controlling murderous aliens, and instead of being a helpful part of the team of heroes, he's a coward who almost gets them all busted and killed several times, then ends up murdering one of them (sort of) and trying to kill others. The heroes ultimately decide to trap him in rat morph forever and ditch him on an abandoned island to live out his days as a rat, because they decide it's kinder than killing him. (Unfortunately that's not the last they see of him, either.) Interesting story about Tim McGraw: when my sister was born before Christmas, she and my folks had to be flown from our military base to Vanderbilt in Nashville due to complications during her birth. She and my parents stayed at the hospital over Christmas away from me, my other sister, and my nana. They were there for some time until she was well enough to come home, a couple weeks at least. However, on Christmas Eve, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill came to the NICU to deliver presents to the children and their families who weren't home for the holiday. My parents met them both, and they were very kind and generous. :')

Some notes to answer your questions: In the rat book, they morph into rats to trick a rogue Animorph into morphing a rat while in a trap so that he gets stuck in morph for the rest of his (short) life. The “screaming rats” bit Karina says at the end is in reference to the fact that they leave him on a deserted island and fishermen report hearing screams coming from the island sometimes. He comes back in a later book and begs them to kill him instead. In the caterpillar one, that morph is definitely not advantageous. Cassie does it to prove to a yeerk, one of the parasitic alien villains, that she would rather live as a blind, helpless worm like them than force a living host into slavery. The caterpillar morph acts as a bit of a deus ex machina, as it saves her in the end when she turns into a butterfly and resets the morph counter.

@@sepiteria7797 These books despite seeming like an innocent fiction series can explore dark themes and have very disturbing imagery in them at times. If you can find them read them. @@Razsac A group of kids are given the power (alien technology) to morph into any animal whose DNA they can touch and absorb. They use it to fight an undercover invasion of alien parasites who enter people’s brains and control them while they are still fully aware. Throughout the series the kids must face the full brutality of war and trying to balance morality with saving earth. There are discussions of chemical warfare and genocide, and none of these poor tweens come out of it free of PTSD or with a clear conscience. It’s campy and very 90s at times, but also a great way to introduce kids to the horror of war and how not every decision will have a “right” answer. They are very dear to my heart… I’m 30 and I still re-read them so it’s never too late to start, if you’re interested lol.

I know I read a few Animorphs books in middle school, I vividly remember the wheeled shelf that the Animorphs books were kept on in my school library, yet I can only kind of remember the prequel about the aliens and the choose-your-own-adventure book where you die constantly. There was a part where you need to chose an animal to turn into so you can sneak into a birthday party, I think, and if you chose the ferret, the crazy old lady next door thinks you’re one of her pets, so she stuffs you in her purse and you slowly suffocate over way too many paragraphs.

No, Animorphs pioneered the use of computers morphs. Sure, there were earlier covers without them, but they actually created software that would blend between two images, and started using those for later covers. "Behind every farmer stands a burglar." "You can take the word out of the ray of sunshine, but you can't take the ray of sunshine out of the word." "As soon as you forget how to wear him, you forget how to terrify him." "Paying a guy to live like a robot is the definition of traumatizing." They range from being plain absurd, to incredibly ominous to just straight up legit sometimes, but all of them give off such Drawfee energy that I NEED to see you guys interpret them.

The grand finale(the "solution" in the title) probably refers to the end where david(a young ex animorph who betrayed and tried to kill the team only to get tricked and forced into a rat form forever) begs rachel to kill him. We've seen emo lyrics, we've seen Steven universe lyrics, we've even seen WAP lyrics. It's high time we see artists draw country lyrics. Also, Don't Take the Girl is actually a pretty song.
