Drawing a Kolrosing Pattern

Here's a video of me drawing one of my bees and basket weave patterns onto a spoon I carved. In the end you can see me paint it with milk paint after applying finely ground coffee into the lines I cut with the tip of the knife. Check out my other videos and subscribe.

and the greatest thing about this video for me is that instead of it being a template-based design, everyone that buys one of your spoons gets an original! Slightly different to all others - lovely!!!

Cheers mate. Design always follows the grain, depends on the wood. Consistent and recognizable but each one unique, hopefully 🙂

Glad you like it. Wood is wild cherry. I carve it green, finishing cuts when dry and kolrosing after drying.
