in this video i really go in depth about drawing arms, how to learn the forms of the arm anatomy, and how to use that knowledge to get better at drawing arms, and specifically getting comfortable with it. a good side-effect of becoming more knowledgable about the forms and anatomy of the arms, is you will likely develop an art style that's more natural to you. rather than noticing the types of arm drawings you like, and trying to emulate that, you will be able to comfortably pose and sketch out arms with ease with what I go over in the video. Thanks for watching !

I'm about 2 weeks into learning anatomy drawing since I feel like learning to draw people is a huge milestone in general. So this timing couldn't be any better

I gotta learn how to traditionally draw muscles as fast as possible (not to replicate irl muscles but not too cartoony either, think Nightwing or Red Hood in comics). Any tips? Please give details if you can since I'm short on time.

WOW! I’ve watched a LOT of tutorials on drawing the arm, and I already kinda knew how it worked, but this blew me away regardless! The simplification, the part about how it flexes, the master studies… and yet, you managed to keep it clear, concise and under ten minutes! Wow! I applaud you, instant subscription!

Good job. Thanks. I have looked through several drawing books that are very good and very detailed but your simple approach gave me a better idea and insight on the arms. Sometimes too much information can make even the simplest idea confusing.

Thanks for the part on using anatomical knowledge for the avg arm. I have a general idea of how to draw arms for muscular people , even if they showed some simplified muscles I would be fine. But the avg person arm, I found it hard to make realistic without it being too simplified. It looked more like those beginner arm tutorials with the cylinder and ball joint shapes. So this section is very appreciated

Really good study and simplification process! i´m gonna add it to my study´s and for non muscular armas i like to block the arm with cilinder and add the tendon shape to the muscles. tendons are somewhat rigid and convey an overall shape ^^ .
@13zackariah
@13zackariah Жыл бұрын
thanks a lot for the nice words, it means a lot adri! and yeah i think thats a great way of looking at it, i may have to try that out. It makes sense too because for SPECIFICALLY skinny, non-muscular arms, the tendons would be more prominent than the belly of the muscle in a muscular person. thanks for the info, very helpful!!

Humans use arms for everything. I think it’s one of the more important things to learn to draw when learning anatomy just because of how expressive arms are.

One thing to remember is that the bicep and tricep dont touch and they arent that close together. There is a muscle in between them called the brachialis. For arms this bulky youre gonna wanna show a little separation of the bicep and tricep with the brachialis inbetween.
