I myself prefer drawing in a smaller scale, so this interests me! Also, one of my favorite craft stores is closing down and this definitely made me a lot happier! At least there’s another one not to far from where I live :)

Same! I take the giant canson watercolor sheets and cut them down the size I want. Get more use out of your paper that way.

The fun thing about a small sketchbook is it fills quite quickly! I used to bring a sketchbook home and before I even thought about it I would draw a goofy doggie on the first page. I used a pencil or ink pen for a super fast sketch to remove any first page anxiety that may come in the future when I opened the “new” sketchbook for use! I knew I would not ruin it because it was already started! You created some lovely pieces in your video, and started your sketchbook journey off with a bang! Keep doing what you do! Now go enjoy that SNOW!

I'm so jealous that you have someone so amazing related to you, that gives you such beautiful Sketchbooks! I mean that's not to say I don't have amazing family who do amazing things for me too, I got a free two night stay, almost all inclusive, at great wolf lodge a few weeks back. This was sooo sweet!...🍭... I loved the little art pieces you did, you kept them simple, colourful & beautifully understated... Which is perfect for this gorgeous little book, I'm sure your sister-in-law will be happy that you've finally used it... ...🤗... I have two smaller (not as small as your ones!) handmade leather bound sketch books, and I'm sure exactly the same, I keep telling myself "they are waaay too nice to use" but on the other hand that's what they were gifted to me for!... ...🙄... So I think I'm going to be brave and put my big girls pants on like you and get doodling in my little sketch books... Thank you for the inspiration and another great video...
