Today I am designing, drawing, and inking my very own sketchbook cover, which is being made by ‪@PalettefulPacks‬ !
I am so excited to finally be able to share this with all of you. Paletteful reached out to me and asked me to draw them a sketchbook cover for their February Petite box! Be sure to check out their channel for more info.
In this video, you can watch me draw, draw with me, as I create this piece. I also create lineart, or ink work with a dip pen and black India ink. If you need help with how to use a dip pen, this video can help!

Congratulations on the sketchbook! I too am having problems with depression and do talk to a mental health professional weekly. I agree it has helped a lot. I am just happy you haven't had to be hospitalized during all this. Keep your head up beautiful soul

I got my paletteful packs box a few weeks ago and I love the drawing on the cover. I've recently been getting into using a dip pen more so I was searching for videos with dip pens when I saw this one. I'm sort of trying to find something to draw with my pen so I think I'll do it in this little sketchbook!

omygosh this is so cute. Love the drawing! I feel like I'm doing worse now than when the pandemic first started. I think at first it was fine because I am an introvert, but now it's like... it's been over a year since I've seen my family, I am tired of doing the same things over and over again. But I'm trying to not think about that too much lol.

that is a lot of gorgeous linework! 😀 i am sort of heading into a depressive area, but have already talked to someone about it since i recognized it happening. hope you are having a good day today dont think i've ever broken a dip pen, but i know i've broken ALOT of micron lol, i have a heavy hand

What kind of printer are you using to print in watercolor paper? Anytime I've ever tried, the ink seems to just sit on top of the paper and smears when I try to add anything to it. I guess I'm trying to see if my printer ink is the issue, or if the paper is? I usually use canson watercolor.

I haven't tried printing on watercolor paper myself, but I suspect it works better on a smoother hot press paper rather than the usual cold press (which I think Canson XL is?) It might also be better with a laser printer rather than an inkjet because inkjet prints tend to smudge more when wet.
