Once you understand light it’s simple. I do very similar art but instead of pencils I use a camera.

Lots of reference pictures and practice studies. You don't draw something like this in one go. Honestly I wouldn't even be surprised if he had a reference right off screen while he was drawing it. Because that's how you make great realistic drawings. Practice, study, and reference.

Crispapple don't sell yourself short. If you can write, then you can draw a stick figure. Write a lower case t and your halfway there. Just attach an o at the top and an upside-down v at the bottom! But Marcello is exceptional!

IMHO, don't try to draw a straight line! This is what a lot of potential sketcher and drafts-people complain about. I envision something a little different than the average art student -- allow me: Whatever image I choose to bring forward, is already inside the paper! What I do is to find images of what I want to draw -- let the pencil (pen, or charcoal) guide my hand to the correct spot. (Hard pencil is what I recommend first -- easier to erase and conceal my error) My natural sense (we all have this!) of proportion will bring the faint image to visibility. (This is where the work comes in) Leave the image ALONE; grab a beverage, and stay away from it for about an hour (This is MY technique! I bring it up only as an example. You should find what works for you!). Now come back to the image and correct it. This is what I do before I lay in a permanent mark on my field (paper, canvas, board, -- you get the idea!). If it looks like what I envision it to be, then the image will "pop". I always do an outline first, then the image will develop 3 dimensions on its own -- it will tell me what to shade it, and when to stop. I do birds and some plants. This works for me. IMHO is to choose what interests you, read about it, study it, memorize it, the -- get ready! -- FORGET it! When the image and the motivation bring the field and the pencil together in my hand, then I already have drawn the image in my own mind. There are very few mistakes that cannot be corrected. I wish you all the very best of luck in the New Year ; drawing is not a 1-time thing, I have found. I practice almost every day, and every day, I discover something that I can use to improve! My sincerest apologies for being to "long-winded"; the Teacher" in me -- well, you know!

@@-aura-6912 I know, and I am sorry for that. But when instruction is involved, I try to cover ALL bases, and I try to be clear, because not everyone will understand everything the first time. I put in, what works for me -- everyone has a different way of learning, so I hope you find what works for you!

You have so many questions :) 1. No, I do not sell my drawings, but maybe when i have enough paintings for an exhibition, I could sell them. 2. I love drawing, so it is not hard and a lot of practice means a lot of fun 3. I began When I was a student (I Studied Art and Advertising and Editorial Illustration) and when i opened my youtube channel, in 2013, I started up where I left 4. I am simply happy to do what I love and I always try to do my best
