From what initially appears to be approaching chaos, to a good likeness within 10 minutes. Then on upward to the beauty of the subject, expressed in a very ''painterly'' manor. All this despite the fact her lips are parted in the photo....a truly brilliant performance!

It is a stunning sketch. Seemed impossible when the sketch with started with bold stokes. But it got all the details in due course. Wonderfully done.

at 10:52 it's already perfect for me. there's something appealling on that roughness and smudges of the portait. It gives off that incompleteness vibes that makes a person curios about what it looks like if you actually decide to finished it.

Honestly I've been working away through Andrew Loomis's books trying to reacquire lost portrait skills. Right now I can't draw a portrait for toffee. I can produce a fairly decent sketch of any animal so long as I have a reference. Portraits are just damned elusive! Beautiful work and an inspiration to keep going!

Great video, but then they spoil it by speeding up the fine detail application at the end, and fading it to black before the other eye was finished, and didn't give us even five seconds to contemplate the final result. Madness!

Fiquei seu fã kkk.gosto de artes,vc usa várias técnicas, o carvão é muito difícil , tem que ter muita sensibilidade e sutileza..vc é genial ,seu trabalho é incrível...vc tem exposição no Brasil..suas mãos parece um beija flor.. dá impressão que nem encosta na tela.👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
