Lots of exaggerated muscles, but not too much. Dynamic poses (A hard one I can never get right) Give the character weight by shading and lighting. Practice with perspective as well. Look at a human body for drawing book or examples on the internet, then take those and start building from there. There is no right way or wrong way, just do your way and practice, practice, practice! Good luck.

Marvel splinter is two antennae away from bing an extraterrestrial biker. Not a complaint, just an observation :) I know its not a very popular franchise for the algorithm but biker mice treatment of this might make for a neat blend of organic and mechanical components.

This isn't meant as an insult, but why do comic book characters have necks like that? The most shredded, freakishly muscular men on the planet don't have tendons sticking out like tree roots. Im not saying it is James' drawing skills or lack of knowledge of anatomy and physiology... I think it is just one of the comic character exaggerations that have been passed down, but I just wonder where it came from.
